2015 Sahara pricing question

A dealer within a reasonable distance offered me a simple deal on any 2015 JK that I wished to order: Invoice price, minus 1/2 of holdback, minus any promotions that I qualify for (Military $500 and certificate $500--if those apply to 2015)---and the dealer said he would not require a deposit to place my order. The pricing on what I desire is as follows (including $995 dest charge):

Sahara, auto, 3.73, trac lock diff, remote start, slush mats, dual (black) tops, supplemental airbags, alpine premium audio, bluetooth, and trailer tow. MSRP $35,620, invoice $33,424.

Selling price is computed as follows $33,424 minus $600 holdback (a little more than 1/2), minus $500 military, minus $500 certificate for a total of $31,824 plus TTL (assuming the $500 military and $500 certificate apply). That seems like a good deal. any thoughts?

Also, on the printout, there are 3 numbers: HB 1,039 (I assume that is holdback), FFP 33,165, and EP 31,828. What do FFP and EP mean?

I appreciate any input or suggestions. I used this site in purchasing my 2012 JGC Overland and it was VERY helpful!

Re: 2015 Sahara pricing question

OOPS, Looks like $500 military discount will not apply. I am anxious to check my certificate to see if it applies.

Re: 2015 Sahara pricing question

I think FFP might be friends and family pricing and EP might be employee pricing. Just a hunch. I have no other guesses.

Re: 2015 Sahara pricing question

If you get it for $31824 that is about 4.8% off invoice I think this is good.

I am planning to start by asking 4% off invoice.

And he's at $4 under EP.

EP is employee pricing. Not sure about FFP.

Re: 2015 Sahara pricing question

EP is Chrysler Corporate Employee Price and FFP is Friends Family Pricing.

Getting a Wrangler at the EP is a good price to shoot for since it is usually at 4.7-5.0% off the invoice price.

I was able to order my 2014 and get it at the EP (including title/fees!) price. All I paid on top of that was the tax.

Re: 2015 Sahara pricing question

I ordered my 2015 Sahara JK yesterday and bought it for $500 below invoice. Perhaps I should have negotiate a little more but I'm okay with the deal...... I ordered the premium black soft top and my dealership wanted $1000 refundable down payment because of the soft top option.

I have ordered many new cars over my decades, including a few Jeeps, and I have always put down a deposit. For me, such defines that such is a firm deal for both parties.

I am not sure the thought here came from, that putting a deposit down on a custom order is somehow devious and wrong.
