Can't wait to see one (in person, and no I'm not driving to Ohio to do so)!

Also this means that PCP better be freaking sweet since we're passing up tank for whatever the PCP ends up being. We'd have gotten our tank soon if we weren't waiting.

Come on super-cool pre-lifted, even more capable Unlimited without whacked out body styling issues (thinking dragon here)! Mamma (the wife) wants her purple unlimited to be a beast (even if we will have to engineer a ladder for the kidlets)!

It gets said often, but probably not enough- thanks to Milous, Pat and Archer for all the info and hand holding for all us crazies.

Re: 2015 Wrangler Information Thread

I just hit KZ today and got my window sticker for my Tank JKUR!

One question for the fine folks in-the-know:

At the time of my order, my Priced Order Confirmation showed the cost for 4.10 gears as $0 (due to a glitch?). I was aware that this option would most likely show its true cost ($545) on my window sticker, and I confirmed today that it does. Have you other guys who ordered and were shown 4.10 as $0 been charged for it in the end? Does Chrysler honor the $0 cost on the POC under the price protection program?

Re: 2015 Wrangler Information Thread

With the rumor of a possible MOJO type special edition model, does that mean the High Line fenders which allow an additional 2 inches of clearance will now be available from the MOPAR accessory catalog as well? How about the LED headlights and fog lights that resemble the J W Speaker brand of lights? Will these items be included on the "Special Edition"? As I said in a previous post, my next JEEP will be my 10th and while I am no stranger to modding, I am always interested in factory modification equipment if decently priced

Question on gearing, tires and lifts.
I will be ordering a JKHRR. I believe it come with 3.73 gears and 31" tires.
I will use it as a DD most of the time and frankly, if I get off road it will not be too extreme.
Should I consider the 4.10 gears or stick with the 3.73's?
What if I go with a moderate 11/2" or 2" lift and 35" Duratracks?
Should I then consider the 4.10 gears?
I assume that if I go with factory tires and either gear ratio the speedometer will still be accurate, but what happens to the speed accuracy and odometer accuracy when I change tires?
Thanks.

To answer your last question first: they become inaccurate. You can pay the dealer to flash the computer or spend about the same on a ProCal or FlashCal or some such programmer to fix the issue

If you plan for 35's, upgrade to the 4.10's now.

Much thanks for the info -
I understand going to the 4.10 gears if I go to the 35" tires.
What if I moderate and go with 33" tires?

Re: 2015 Wrangler Information Thread

I just spoke to my dealer, and he said my Rubicon UNLTD. "hard rock" in "tank" is scheduled to ship next week. my vin ends with 761. What is strange, is that I only ordered the vehicle two weeks ago.

You are going to have to pay for all or some of it, as your dealer is going to get charged for it.

1) When you ordered that option the MSRP was $495 not $545 so the $441 invoice cost should be your starting point, not $545.

2) I would personally ask them to split this increase with you. Of course this will be dependent on how much you've already squeezed out of them when negotiating your purchase price. I don't know the deal you made, but I know (roughly) how much my dealer is making off my deal. I was very fair with them and I believe they would agree to split the cost with me (so $220.50) in order to lessen the impact.

Just be friendly about it, as it wasn't their fault.

Yeah, I ordered a Tank Rubicon Unlimited on 8/20 and my estimated ship is 9/8.

3.73's are plenty low for the 3.6 engine, and will give you slightly better fuel economy with 33" tires...but through a strange twist of pricing right now, the cost of upgrading to 35's instead of 33's is pretty minuscule. For a pavement princess, 33's only require 4.5" back spacing on the wheels, while 35's also need a 2-2 1/2" lift, unless you replace or cut the fenders. 35's will burn more gas per mile, but they'll look cooler :-)

If you plan to spend time offroad, with your swaybar disconnected, you will rub without some additional lift or cut/replaced fenders

Re: 2015 Wrangler Information Thread

All,

This is my first post so forgive me if I sound a bit slow. I just came out of a dealership here in NJ a bit bummed. I went to order the Jeep Hard Rock edition in Tank with the Saddle leather interior and was told that the only option I have is to order it with black leather. is this really true? has any one else encountered this issue? Please help I want to get my order in tonight.

Thanks

Vince

I was very disappointed about this as well but it's true. Hard Rocks are only available with black leather. You would have to go with a regular Rubicon for tan leather.
