Crazy question time. Got my 2015 JKURHR the other day. Parked it in the garage and it looked uneven. Turns out the car is not level. The right side is about 5/8" lower than the left. Checked with a level and measured ground to bottom of rear fender. Tire pressures checked and are all the same. So what's the deal? Why would that happen and should I be concerned?

Regarding AC turning on automatically when you use Auto-start: forgive the guy with zippered windows who hasn't even locked his doors since 2007, but were I to own a vehicle with remote start I'm pretty sure the primary reason I'd use it is so that the heater/AC could do some work to moderate the interior temperature BEFORE I got into the Jeep. If I don't want the interior heated/cooled.... Then why would I waste gas letting it run before my backside was occupying a seat?

Leather wrapped steering wheels have been horrible for the last 10 years, probably more. I had a 04 GTi with one, and in 3 years, looked like hell... But I guess its one more selling point of the base Sport...
I never really had such a problem. The leather steering wheel in my '03 Mustang still looks like new. All I do is clean and treat it periodically, as I do the seats.

Ditto for my '99 XJ. Still looked like new when I sold it years later.

Tire pressure is a compromise. Too high, and you'll wear the center of the tread pattern prematurely. Too low, and you'll wear the shoulder lugs prematurely. High pressure means better gas mileage, but faster tread wear. Low pressure means a comfy ride and even tread wear, but lower mpg. On aftermarket tires I will always go for even tire wear over one or two extra mpg. The cost of oversize tires to replace usually trumps the cost of that mpg loss. Anyway what I do is get a piece of sidewalk chalk and mark a solid line across the tread pattern horizontally. Then drive the jeep 10 feet and look at where the chalk is rubbed off. Lower pressure until you have a fairly even wear pattern, usually somewhere between 30-35 psi. There are several threads and articles that go into greater detail about off road tire pressure.

Hi all first time poster long time lurker i have a question, bought a 2 door willys wheeler off the lot an noticed it was missing the "reversible cargo mat" talked to my dealer an didn't know what I was talking about, called a few other dealers part departments and again none knew what I'm talking about. Does anyone know the part number for the mat? I also the alpine system so I would need the sub cut out one thanks

Does anyone know how it works when you order a color that hasn't gone into production yet? My color (Copper brown) just opened up for the October allocation but production doesn't begin until November 3rd. So is November 3rd the day I should begin my "6 week countdown" til delivery? this is the time line that the dealer told me.sorry if this seems like a dumb question but this is the first time ive ordered a vehicle. I'm really just wondering if I will have the vehicle by Christmas.

Maybe I don't want to believe that but since production starts November 3rd, I wanna believe I have a shot of getting mine (Sunset Orange) in November.

Ordered a Sunset UHRR today! Thanks to everyone here for all the information. It really made the trip to the dealer easy. Now, hoping I love the color!

Congrats on your order. I am too chicken to order one sight unseen. Any chance you are anywhere in the proximity of St. Louis?

Is there anyone who has ordered any model Sunset Orange or Canyon JK anywhere near St. Louis?

Are you having to put down a deposit when you order? Thinking about trading my 05 WK for a new JK. Just curious if I was going to have to lay out some cash early if I do it. Thanks!

I provided my dealer with a check for a deposit. When I picked up the jeep the dealer returned my check to me. Some of the dealers I talked with wanted to cash my down payment check this was the only one who wanted to just hold it. My dealer wanted twice as much for down deposit as the other dealers I just simply asked to write the check for half and they agrred.

Also you need to read up on price protection. Pat posted the guidelines several pages back. A down paymment is required to protect the deal price.

So I upgraded the wheels and tires on my Hard Rock and the consensus seems to be to run my 35 inch Nittos between 27-30 PSI, however the EVIC tire pressure sensors are giving me a warning if I get below 32 PSI. Is there a way to reset the sensors through the EVIC?
