re: 2015 Wrangler JK Information Thread

Just got word from the Chrysler rep that my Jeep Rubicon 2Dr that I ordered on 6-6 cannot be built without the RC9 upgrade speaker system. It's been in C status since ordered. I told them to put it on and get 'er built. Here's the email that the dealer and I got this morning.

"I’ve just been alerted by supply that the below sold order Wrangler cannot be built until October due to the RCG (6 speakers) option. If your customer is willing to upgrade to the RC9 (Alpine Premium Audio System) option then the unit can get built immediately. Let me know if you want us to change this and get it built."

Does your order have the RC9 audio system ?? If so, you might check with your dealer. here's the email I just got from the rep.

Takes more time to do the cheaper option. That's a hoot.

Good point Ichthus, but I'll stick to light duty trips, and small mods, at least until the warranty runs out. I'm lucky to have 8 dealers to choose from within about a 90 minute radius. One of them should meet my needs...

So, the lifting of the requirement of ordering the RC9 has been delayed from 7/9 to sometime in October.

That's what I understand. That quote I posted was right from the Jeep rep.

There was a post close to the start of the thread that stated the rc9 was a mandatory option on sahara and rubicon and standard on the hard rock.i guess it is similar to 14 where the better audio was in the sahara and rubicon.i had asked the dealer about mine seeing no body called they just matched the 14 I built and they said the alpine upgrade was required I had my order go in on 6/10

2015 Wrangler Information Thread

Hey from Australia,

Just seeing if anyone knows, I ordered a new Rubicon Unlimited on the 11th June, will I get a 2015 or 2014? It's a custom order so takes 4 months to get to AUS..

Dealer can't say what will turn up.. So thought I'd see if anyone has any info.. Wouldn't mind the better stereo..

Thanks

Josh.

I would have to think by your order time, I'd say it will be a 15. Surely if you have an order, your dealer should be able to see the order in the system and identify the model year for you ?

Is Copper Brown dead? None of my dealers can get any info on when, or if, it will be available. Only the initial colors are showing up with the three new colors (Tank, Yellow, and Orange) to be released at a later date. Seems like Plum and Copper fell out of the paint scheme.

From page 1: New: Copper Brown Pearl Coat (PUS) (aka Blazing Saddle/Saddle Brown/Canyon Brown) (Production start 09/29/2014)

As they're pushing it forward I can imagine it falling off any order forms.
