If you actually figure out what Jeep is up to and can get your theory to hold, I say you should publish it (you could make some serious coin), because every time I think I have them figured out they change something up on me.

I like the altitude so either way I'm good except the Moab didn't do the body colored fenders and I'm more a fan of that than the black ones

re: 2015 Wrangler JK Information Thread

I am VERY excited about the idea of a Plum Crazy "Moab-like" special edition! Hopefully, it's released later in the model year, as my Grand Cherokee lease will be up then, and Mrs. joeyo would be elated to have her own Wrangler.

re: 2015 Wrangler JK Information Thread

I'm hoping someone can clarify some things for me...

On an Unlimited Rubicon (package 24R), Edmunds shows the Alpine audio system as being a $695 option. If I am not mistaken, Alpine is included in the same trim level on the 2014s, right? I read through a bunch of posts from many pages back talking about whether the Alpine cost was part of the base price or not, but I couldn't make sense of it all. Can someone clarify as to whether you have to pay for Alpine on an Unlimited Rubicon?

Also, 4:10 gears are a $495 upgrade on an automatic Unlimited Rubicon, correct?

Thanks in advance!

Alpine audio is a required (forced) option and costs $695 MSRP. This requirement will be eventually lifted, *possibly* starting with the next allocation period (August 7th).

Correct on the 4:10 gears @$495.

Does anyone have any info on this?

i am NOT an expert, but my opinion would be that the current headunits, even if the software was upgraded are not powerful enough(in a computing sense) to manage Apple carplay,I would assume that Apple and the headset manufacturers ( the headunits are made by a contractor for Jeep) are working to get the hardware and software into new units and would expect to see at least some basic systems being offered with the 2016 model year by some manufactures...Jeep are not often on the bleeding edge of tech,at least not in the Wrangler ,they may wait for the second generation and build them into the "next Gen Wrangler",whenever that will be 2017/18? just my thoughts,I am an Apple user so would love to see it ASAP!..

That's what I was thinking, from doing some research I didn't think the head units could handle it.. So it makes more sense for next generation integration.. I'm a big apple user as well, so having some seamless integration into vehicle would be great!

Edit: I realize this is a link to another dealer site, but since it's in Canada I thought it might not be offensive to Pat. I'll delete if this is a problem.

My god that's ****ing gorgeous. I even love the tan two tone interior. Now wtf would Jeep make that available in Canada but not the US? I can't imagine the thinking there.
