re: 2015 Wrangler JK Information Thread

Does anyone know if Jeep transports wranglers by truck (instead of railcar)? I'm in California, and my dealer says it will arrive via trailer, but so far all of the wranglers on Milous' tracking have been transported via rail. Thanks!

If I'm not mistaken I believe the railcar stops at a final destination, then onto a truck which is the last voyage directly to the dealership driveway.

Correct

Rail to the nearest Railhead, then truck the last bit

Thanks guys. I guess that means Riverside for us Los Angeles folk. The wait for the railcar arrival is going to kill me.

Mine's gotta truck from there to San Diego, but I'm told delivery is estimated for Monday!
Then off to get stilts and shoes prior to delivery.

Order banks will re-open this Thursday. Baja *should* be available to order then, Sunset probably not until early next month.

Pat/Milious,

Any updates of the 2015 MOPAR lift kits that were supposed to be available this year? Wondering about a quality/cost comparison and when it may be an option... I assume it would be done once arriving at the dealer?

Last I heard was September to coincide with the 2015 MY media release. The figure of $980 keeps coming up from Mopar execs. If it's as nice as I hear and stays at that price they will sell a lot of them. Supposedly engineered by the guy that dreams up and builds most of the concepts. I know the lift was used on a few of the Jeeps at Moab this year.

Any rumor on specs/variants? Are we talking about "The Mopar Lift" or is there talk of options between say a 2 inch, 2.5 or 3 inch lift? I'll be ordering my JKUR HR this week... I assume it will be a dealer installed option? I like the sound of $980 especially if it is a comparable/quality lift! Thanks for all the great info!

Thanks Milous getting ready for our first ever Wrangler purchase! We've only been renting them everywhere we travel

Yea it's not fun waiting on that... hopefully the next few days bursts out some activity.

Bringing that question I raised a bit back - anyone know if the 2015 ECU's will work with an AEV Procal? I have a suspicion my dealership will tell me to get lost if I ask to them to deactivate the DRL's...

On my 2014 I had to use the Procal to turn the DRL ON, they didn't come that way... Did that change for the 2015s?
