Milous - do you know what differences there will be between the current HR and the upcoming Rubi X? Both in terms of features and price?

From the looks of any information anyone has the x is going to be more on the sahara platform. Probably along the lines of the mojave from the sound of it. But I believe it's all speculation for now. We'll just have to wait until Pat or Milous can actually confirm it

I hope you are right...With 25 other letters to pick from, you'd think the marketing department could come up with a name that wouldn't cause confusion.

Still looking fwd to hearing from Milous when he is able to give that info.

Isn't this seat code an indicator of what may be coming??

As for a new vehicle, nah.
Extended warranty is actually not a bad buy, particularly considering your Jeep will be the second worst vehicle on the market in initial quality. Much better reliability than after market fly-by-night companies. You can basically get the same pricing on the extended warranty as long as your vehicle is still under it's original warranty, but buying it upfront allows you to bundle the cost into your financing rather than having to pay several thousand out of pocket in three years.

Why exactly are our Jeeps second worst on the market in initial quality?

Care to explain or elaborate?

Seems like everyone on the boards here may not agree with that statement...

Yea.

Sport aka X
Rubicon X
Sahara X

Though, the story I heard, was that for the Rubicon X, the "X" was suppose to be only a temporary filler, but the legal people didn't bless the name "Hard Rock" until it was too late for the 2014MY.

Its because we just accept the Wrangler's problems as being part of owning a Wrangler. Kind-of like accepting your spouse's faults in a marriage.

For example, you never heard of anyone's Wrangler leaking in the rain?

Faults are accepted - absolutely - but it just seemed like a broad blanket statement. We accept the faults in our Jeeps and see them as part of a Jeep (mostly speaking on Wrangler's here) - but they also hold their value unlike almost all other vehicles. That just seems like a contradicting statement - that's all.

Hi Milous,

Can you please shed some light on the Rubicon X post? I am wondering if I should be cancelling my Rubicon HR order and wait for the X. Is it Sahara based with painted fenders? Or a totally new better version of a Rubicon? Inquiring minds NEED to know!!! Thanks!!!

My jkur hr arrived at dealership yesterday. How long does pre-delivery inspection usually take? I'm hoping to pick up my jeep today. Is that unrealistic?
