I did. Someone being incorrect does NOT give you the right to insult him publicly. I would LOVE to move on and talk jeeps. There's no place place for people who make attacks on others. PLEASE drop it and let's all be grown ups. Thanks

You get to 4% under and they make 1% over net, roughly $300 or so. It's your deal and your money, and there will be a lot of people telling you "screw the stealer", and that the $300 or so buys a lot of mods. It's a fair point too and I don't knock the lots of mods thought process. Like I said, it's your money, but letting the dealer make $300 plus any quota money on a $30k plus sale shouldn't be seen as being taken advantage of.

Thanks Pat, I replied to a previous post before reading yours. My bad.

I'm close to putting in an order for a MY15 Wrangler and I've been rolling ideas/strategies to get the best price for my order. The most logical and least time consuming method involves a short email, with build details, to internet sales managers in a ~150 miles radius and hope one gets aggressive with their pricing. Has anyone beaten down this path and had success? Is this a realistic approach?

Are there any other methods I should consider?
That's what I did with my '14 order in January.

Got 4.8% below invoice (basically EP price).

Easy peasy - didn't talk to a salesman until I called to confirm the price. Went in the next day and ordered it.
Waited 9 weeks for it, went in, signed all the paperwork and drove away in my sweet new 2dr Anvil Rubicon.

I'm curious what you ordered specifically (options)...couldn't find it on a previous post.

re: 2015 Wrangler JK Information Thread

I agree with you on the response why get one guy to do the work and then just hand the deal to someone else. I figured the dealer who started with the lowest price to begin with was being honest and could work from there. In the end, if someone was to beat it, it would only amount to another $100 or so and for me that wasn't worth it for the extra work I would have to do or the fact that no work was done by the other person so why not stick with the guy/dealer who was working to begin with.

I did have one dealer respond to me on a quote for a 14 and the price they sent me was higher than what they had it listed on their website for! I was like, no, I don't think I'll be using them.

One said to give them my lowest written quote and they'd beat it when I asked them to price up my order... I told him the few dollars I'd save by letting him snake the deal that others work honestly for wouldn't be worth it.

In the end, one dealer was extremely helpful and tried to earn my business. He ended up being my third lowest price... AND HE STILL WON MY ORDER! Relationships work both ways and I believe in rewarding those that work harder for my business.

Did you discuss the 4.10 gear situation with them yet (sorry if I missed you already discussing that)? The invoice is going to come in $441 dollars higher than what you have on your order.

I'm in process of finalizing my order on a JKUR now, and I'm accounting for it with my salesperson even though it comes up as standard equipment @ $0.

re: 2015 Wrangler JK Information Thread

I haven't been looking to order a Wrangler, but in the Chicago area I was working with a few dealers. Only ONE was able to give me information that matched what I was expecting, was courteous, and extremely communicative. Their price was slightly higher, but it's worth the extra $$$ to build a relationship with a dealership group. I'm planning on ordering in a month and there is no question that I'm going to the dealership that has shown the most integrity.
