re: 2015 Wrangler JK Information Thread

I've ordered my HRR without the factory installed trailer hitch. Does the HR bumper require a special kit or will any of the aftermarket hitches work? I'm assuming the steel bar behind the bumper is the same on every trim....

Thanks!

First time poster...quick question. It appears from the window stickers of the 2015 models on the ground that the Alpine 9-Speakers with All Weather Subwoofer is a ($695) option even with the 430N head unit ($1095). I guess I should have not assumed that the 9-speaker Alpine was included with the 430 upgrade.

Here is an example from the Fields Samford, FL location:

It is not included and is an additional option...I believe it is only included with the Rubicon HR package, and it is currently a required option on Rubicon Unlimited orders (I know because I ordered last night).

re: 2015 Wrangler JK Information Thread

I know someone posted the question but I never saw it answered...

If you get the base stereo system without the sub, do you get the storage cubby back?

Also, has anyone actually heard the new base stereo and sound bar? Am I going to have to stuff it full of pillow stuffing?

Thanks,

Yep, the Alpine speaker and amp upgrade option is independent of the head unit option. True even for the "top" 730N.

Now, such is not true for the Connectivity Group. You need such for the 130 and 430 to add Bluetooth, but the 730N includes Bluetooth.

The HR (and 10A/X) bumper requires a special hitch, though some people who are good a metal work have successfully modified a standard Wrangler hitch to work.

One aftermarket hitch that is designed for the 10A/X/HR is available from our friends at Quadratec.

The build sheet for my 2014 Rubi X shows radar red stitching too. Actually got silver/gray stitching. I think it just a documentation hold over from the 10A and its red seats.

I'm wiating to see Sunset Orange in person. If it is close to Mango Tango, then I'm sold...if not, Billet will do.

I am ordering a Sahara Unlimited, Auto, max tow, trac-lok, polished aluminums, connectivity, 430, Alpine 9 speaker, body color freedom top, heated seats, remote start, Auto HVAC, slush mats, chrome group.

I will add a backup camera and mopar chrome mirrow caps and door handle insterts. I will also smoothe and paint my bumpers body color.

On page 11, Milous states that Radar Red will return as Stitching Accents!

I checked a ton of 2014 Rubi X's window stickers online and not one of them show Radar Red Stitching. All the new (Aug build date) 2015 Rubi HR, Radar Red Stitching has been added to the top of the package on the window sticker.
