I was at the dealer today going over a 2015 white unlimited hard rock when I went to get the papers on my Jeep that should arrive in the next two or three days. The back carpet mat has an opening for the speaker which has a grill. It has a sticker on it that says it is weather proof. If you pull up the cover around the speaker you can see the wiring neatly done to one side going to the speaker. The grill looks pretty strong. I didn't like the 2014 subwoofer sticking out and blocking you sliding in some plywood or something. I like this better but am clear if you put boxes or something on it you aren't going to get sound. I'm sure you can damage it but you are going to have to make an effort - my opinion. On the other hand, I'll be trying not to through stuff on it and if I was really packing stuff in I may put carpet over it. Hope this helps..

Thanks for the reply. Could you tell if the speaker would be easily removable?

I haven't removed one yet, but it doesn't look to complex. The end of a sub are covered by the D trim. It looks like the cargo tie down screws are holding it in place. Without pulling it apart, I can't tell if there are any other bolts holding it down.

Great pics. Looks like it would be possible to remove the entire speaker and housing assembly to get the storage space back. Makes me want to keep the rear cargo floor from my 2012 to swap into the 2015.

I'm pretty sure the cargo tub is the same size. Eventually I'll have to remove a sub. When I do I'll post some pics

If Sunset Orange with black top and fenders on a Hard Rock Rubicon Unlimited look as good as this Hemi Orange Dodge we recently saw at a Savannah, GA Jeep Dealership than we're pretty sold on 2015 Color of the Year 😄ImageUploadedByJeepGarage1408689592.300030.jpgImageUploadedByJeepGarage1408689606.098296.jpg

Great color, but that looks more like Header Orange / Crush. Sunset is supposed to Hemi Orange, which is darker with a pearl flake.

Similar perhaps to the 2014 Wrangler Mojo Concept photos we're seeing online? Not a bad choice either! We're on the fence between this new Orange, Anvil, Baja Yellow, and our curiosity is peaking with the new Tank, decisions decisions 😄

I like the wheels but agree on the white letters... I might have to have my tires remounted to turn them inside.

Pretty sure it was Pat who observed that. (Which kind of elevates the reliability level up from "Someone said...")

VOTs says "delivery" this morning but still shows a location 144 miles from my dealer...what does that mean?
