re: 2015 Wrangler JK Information Thread

I really like this color. Thanks for the link! Picture 26 shows the paint code of PGK so that should confirm that this is tank (not that there was any doubt).

I cant wait to order a Rubicon in tank with the black fenders and top.

This appears to be a listing for a 2015 Tank Green Rubicon with 20+ pictures. They don't mention the color in the ad but I don't see how it could be otherwise.

*I found the link to this page the wrangler forum.

The window sticker states "Tank Clear Coat Exterior Paint" too. That's what I checked.

Tank is a really nice "CJ-esque" color. It does look both great and appropriate on the 2015 JK's.

Sounds like any prospective Sahara orderers might want to check that they've got a new copy of the guide. Any already-ordered-Sahara-orderers might want to verify what's really going into their ride.

I appreciate your comment and information. Would you please post a picture of pages 6 and 11 that you reference, or point me to the source of that document so that I can have a copy? Thanks!

It is definitely Tank ( and it looks AWESOME) There is a link to the window sticker on the site that list the color as Tank Clear Coat.
My JKHRU is in D1 status with ETA of 9-18 per tracking.

1. I'm not an e-imagery genius. Maybe not any other kind either. First photo post attempt.

2. Pat said there's an August update to this doc, so this may ONLY show a prior error that was fixed. (If I had ordered a Sahara with the tow pkg thinking I'd get 3.73s based on this, I'd be asking what I'll be getting.) The red lines separate what I snipped from the pertinent pages. Cover sheet, pg 6, pg. 11. (On pg 11, the middle column is the Sahara.) The AHT and DME line items are the pertinent content.

3. Read the early/mid June posts for how to get a copy of the guide. I only have this rev, which is superseded, so I don't intend to propagate it (not mine to send, either, without permission). I infer from Pat's comment yesterday that the current guide does not read like this.

Hope this helps and doesn't hurt.

re: 2015 Wrangler JK Information Thread

My price/order guide was reissued on 07-08-14... It would be cool if the latest revision date was listed on the first page of the thread so you'd know if you were working from the same one your dealer will be ordering from.

So what I get from this is that the "dot" for the 3.73 axle should be in the Rubicon column, and not the Sahara column.

Thanks for posting! That must be the document from which the clip that I have was taken. I had assumed that mine was from the 2015 brochure, but it looks the same as that which you posted. I am unsure about which revision my pic was snipped from.

I think that is incorrect. Rubicons have 3.73 or 4.10 without respect to the tow package. It wouldn't make sense (to me) to list it the way that you suggest. It would create confusion as the Rubicon gear ratio is wholly independent of the AHT option.

Not to make this even more difficult, but look at the area inside the black box. It says "3.73 Rear Axle Ratio INCLUDED WITH AHT" but it also has the DME code and the $495 price. This uncertainty is keeping me from ordering until I know, with certainty, what I will get when I order. In the meantime, I keep looking at 2015 Saharas that are showing up at dealerships. All that have the $295 AHT option have the 3.73 gears. I have even photographed the axle tags to confirm the existence of the 3.73 gears on one new Jeep.

RE: the rubi, I am not gonna start guessing. Bitter tears have already been shed by some folk over that gearing subject, and I'm too sissy for a rubi myself.

Maybe we can thank ISO 9000 for all this confusion. I prefer the good 'ol days of Yul Brynner and "So let it be written, so let it be done."

Dude prolly would've driven a CJ.
