Ok. Crazy Question. I really like the Rubicon Hard Rock. Way more than I need, but it is what it is. Unless a Sahara based special edition comes out soon, the HR is it. My biggest concern is the mud terrain tires and the noise. Since 99% of my time will be spent driving in town, is it crazy to swap the oem tires out for something like the Bridgestone Dueler. Would it make that much of a difference in road noise? Thanks everyone.

I don't think they are loud at all, but I've been driving Jeeps with mud tires for 20 years.

If you are concerned, go test drive a Rubicon and see how it sounds. It has the same tires.

When does the September allocations open up? Placed my order middle of Aug. for HHR in Anvil, to replace the 2014 Granite X that I had for 3 short months and got totaled. I was thinking it should arrive mid to late oct. going of the time frame of my 2014 order.

There's going to be some difference in road noise, but I don't think it would be very significant. Test driving a Willy's or Rubicon then a Sahara would be best. If you want info before then, go to Tire Rack and look at the survey results between both tire sets which usually gives a pretty accurate picture.

Thought today was going to be the build day. Ce la vie. :/

Many here highly recommend upgrading to Good Year Duratracs as all terrain and quieter on road than the stock mud terrains on the Hard Rock Rubicon.

My window sticker has the 3.73 included with the Tow Package, but my configuration sheet (from 8/6) breaks it down with the 3.73 as a separate $495 option. It looks like the cost is a wash though, so it's just broken down differently on the window sticker versus the build sheet. Window sticker show's the new price increases. I saved $350 either way.

Did you see your name on the window sticker? Supposedly if you place an order the window sticker has your name on it.

The online window sticker won't have you name on it (computer generated), just the actual hard copy one that comes with your Jeep.
