I can confirm this. When I ordered my 2014 Rubicon X the online window sticker only showed the vin, but the one on the jeep had my name on it. When I ordered my 2015 HRR my dealer actually asked me what name I wanted on the window sticker. I had my sons name put on it since he picked every option on it and will be driving it in 2 yrs. I just get to break it in until he turns 16.

Would it make that much of a difference in road noise? Thanks everyone.

You would probably end up money ahead if you just started with a Sahara and do the add ons yourself. With a rubicon you are paying for off road upgrades you'll never use. On the other hand, you'll have no problem finding a buyer for your rubicon when you're ready to sell it--it'll be attractive to those who want an unmolested jeep to build up.

My online window sticker did not have my name on it, but the one that came with my jeep does have it right on the top!

The road noise will vary depending on each persons perspective. In my opinion, after driving my Hard Rock for the past week (400 miles), I can honestly say I don't even notice any road noise from the BFG M/T tires, and I'm on dirt for about 200 feet of my 20 mile commute to work.

You can get your VIN from calling customer support at jeep, and your window sticker can be viewed here, but I think it needs to be built before you can view it. Just type in your vin after the [=].

If you are concerned, go test drive a Rubicon and see how it sounds. It has the same tires.
It is all relative! I got my Hard Rock a week ago and have driven it from east of Phoenix to LA and back over Labor Day. I didn't think it was noisy. I could talk on the phone, listen to the great Alpine sound system and just drive with everything off. Off course, many years ago, I put mud tires on a Wagoneer that were so noisy that no talk in the car was possible over about 45 mph.

Shorter consideration. If you want sedan quiet. It isn't, but if that's what you want, you shouldn't get any Wrangler. Enjoy
