For those planning on swapping out tires, the new BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2's are due for release in November. Check those out on the BFG website
Heck ya, that's definitely the way to go then! Didn't know they even made one yet.

I would say get rid of the max tow. You can get the same thing for $60 on Amazon. It only includes a receiver and a wiring harness. I assumed it would come with a transmission oil cooler and/or brake controller for the price... Second, you don't say what tranny you are getting. If you get the Auto like mine, it comes with 3.73 standard, and I would recommend getting the 4.10 gears added to your build. My Hard Rock feels a little weak when I give it the gas, but that's probably because my other vehicle is a Ram 1500 with a Hemi 5.7. I would really be disappointed if I left the 3.73's in the pumpkins. Mathematically the 4.10 will be worse on gas, but the difference is barely noticeable. As for tires, I plan on running these until they need replacement, then I'll go bigger, with a 2-3 inch lift, a set of 35's, and wider wheels. The stock ones are good enough for now, and being in the northeast, I'll probably turn the stock rims into a set of studded snow tires when I go bigger. Only things I've added since I picked up my Hard Rock are removable mirrors for when the doors are off, and a set of Body Armor Gen II trail doors so I don't get dirty looks from parents when I ride with the kids in the back seat and the full doors are off!
I don't believe it is as much gearing that you are noticing as torque the hemi has a huge amount of torque down low and I'm sure with out the computer nanny it would be even more noticeable.the 3.6 has horse power but not so much torque.

I'm thinking your camera is distorting the color because it looks much lighter, less green, and more brownish in the closeup. Which photo is a more true representation of actual shade in the light? I am really liking the shade of green shown in the picture on the truck.

+1.

1/2 the tank pics I have seen look awesome and the other 1/2 are very light and I am not a fan.

Is the body-colored hardtop required in order to order a Rubicon with the body-colored fenders? This seems like an odd requirement, but at least on Edmund's that's what it's forcing me to do. If so, what's the market for selling off a body-colored hard top look like? Thanks.
I'll bet that your dealer would trade your body colored one for a black one if you're civil to him and discuss the config you want to end up with while ordering.

Stole these from across the street.... Suddenly I might be kicking my own ass and bypassing Baja... Now, the real question, to half doors or to not....

Dang I can't believe how much darker Tank looks these photos look compared to the one posted by rrankerjr. This is much more what I was hoping for shadewise. Does it really look that green/dark in the sun in real life as opposed to the light yellowish/brown that some of the other pics show?

Looks like you have a decent camera, so can you try to snap a few more around noon on a sunny day?

It also looks like plastidipping the grey Rubi wheels is going to be in my future because that Willy's looks great!

re: 2015 Wrangler JK Information Thread

I just wanted to take a minute and thank everyone for providing me such useful information. You guys have helped me change my mind on a few options that I would have never thought of doing.

I will be going to the dealer in the am to place the order.

However, I have one last question. When I do place the order, what does the dealership provide me with that I can use to look up my status? Is there anything that I should know to ask him for?

Thanks
