So would you say that the closeup picture is you took is more accurate of the color than the distance shot taken on the truck?

I think you are just going to have to see it yourself. I don't think I can describe it any better than I did.

My '99 XJ came with my name on the window sticker. This certainly isn't anything new.

Congrats on the progress.
When checking MOTS I was still seeing D1 status on mine. Do you have another way to track ? (Our Jeeps both went to D1 on the same day 8-20)

Well, I'd say you'll also want a good book. And possibly a flask.

I like it. A little darker than commando green.

That's my jeep. The pic straight on is direct mid day sun. I'll post a few more this afternoon. The color is ideal in any light. I pasted a military convoy this am and if the color was flat it would have been a perfect match got a few convoy honks too. Need to put a matte black star on the hood.

The 730N can do split screen, displaying two things like Map and Turn-by-turn directions at the same time. However, Turn-by-turn directions can also be displayed on the EVIC so that might not be all that important.

The 730N can do "dead reckoning" which means it can continue to navigate with the loss of GPS signal (tunnels, urban canyons, etc).

The 730N can do "bread crumbs", recording your off-road trip and then guiding you back along the same route.

The 730N can do "traffic", but you have to pay for that after the free trail period is over. Though, since you are "TrafficGuy", maybe that is really important to you?

Both the 730N and 430N can only use "real" map loads (forgetting about "iffy" hacking of maps on the 430N). Even though the 430N is Garmin based, it doesn't have the standard Garmin micro-SD card slot. So you can't just buy a $30 TOPO map load on a micro-SD card and slap it in.

For just my opinion, I got the 730N, but now feel I should have gotten the 430N. Everything else I use is Garmin based, and because of that, I think I would have enjoyed the 430N more.
Thanks WaltA. The dead reckoning is an issue my wife's car has (or doesn't have). Drives me bat-wacky. My goal was to have the best of both worlds, on & off road GPS. Now, I may just go with the 430N and use a standalone unit that I can load topo maps onto. Thanks for your input. I appreciate it.

I think the tank color is like anvil. Lighting and angle really effect how it appears. Which is really neat.

re: 2015 Wrangler JK Information Thread

Phew, holy crap. Just spent the majority of yesterday and a good chunk of today reading all 352 pages of this thread to make sure I got all the info I needed. I am curious about two things:

1) It appears that Jeep's website is still not showing 2015 MY and it seems that was expected to go-live 3 or 4 days ago. Do Milous or Pat know of the reason behind the delays?

2) How many of you guys are leasing your new JKs? This will be my third Jeep in 5 years, so I am thinking about leasing this time around.

re: 2015 Wrangler JK Information Thread

Can anyone provide any guidance on how the price protection works? I placed an order for a JKUR in early August and it will be arriving at my dealer soon. I saw on the Window sticker that the MSRP was higher (as Milous or Pat had warned at one point).

Since I ordered early in August and received a POC with my name on it as a sold order, it is my dealer's understanding that I should be protected against the price increase. However, my dealer is saying that the invoice to them is showing the higher price.

Does anyone know the procedure we need to go through to qualify for the price protection?
