re: 2015 Wrangler JK Information Thread

finally took delivery today!!! Well worth the wait!!

For those getting stuck with the higher price than when you ordered, Make sure it's not the charge for the 4.10 axles. When I ordered mine show $0.00 for the 4.10 upgrade. But my window sticker (prior to price increase) shows the $495 charge for the axles and the MSRP is $495 higher than priced at order. As Pat stated most dealers will pass this charge along to you. If you read the fine print on the bottom of the initial order you'll see that it's subject to change. I guess I was lucky because they never said a word about it. The price I paid was the price we agreed to on order.

As for the dealer installed tow strap kit. I would advise getting your build sheet from Milous here before you take delivery. My dealer didn't have a clue as the window sticker did not show it. He did recall that we had discussed it on order. He took my build sheet and went all through the dealership and finally he took my advice and checked in parts. There they were!! Parts guy didn't have a clue and even said he had sold one of these kits last week. So having my build sheet in hand paid off for this alone. It also gives you little reminders of things you should get like the torx kit, slush mats, freedom top storage bags etc. Well worth the investment here.

Thanks to Pat and Milous for all there knowledge and support!!

Saturday morning winch install for me!!

Just got back from the dealer with my order placed. Tank Hard Rock here I come, can't wait.

My dealer told me that they don't provide the POC nor the VON. I told them that I was not leaving the dealership without it. Oddly enough a few minutes later the manager walks down with the POC. if you guys had not mentioned it I would have never known. you guys are awesome.

so what do I do now?

Has anyone seen pictures of a tank hard rock yet? I've seen the other tank pictures so far just not any with the hard rock hood and bumpers.

Great choice. Tank is a neat color.

Now? You start ordering mod parts, of course!

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong.
My 2 door Willys came in on Tuesday and it included the following:

T-Top Bag
Oh-Shit Handles
Torx Tool Kit
Mopar Jeep Trail Rated Kit

The Mopar Jeep Trail Rated Kit did not come in the Jeep, it was sent to the Service department and arrived a week ago. The dealer had no idea. It is not on the build sheet but it is on the Jeep Wrangler Customer Code Guide that Milous sent out. It says in the code guide that the kit is shipped to dealer parts separately.

I hope this helps,
Michael

Now that is funny and so true. I had to change mine out after 50,000 hits.

What loose items should come with all models?
The Freedom top bag (hardtops) and the little top removal tool kit, I know.
Anything else? Grab handles maybe?
Just want to know what I should be looking for when (eventually) I go to get my Jeep.
I don't know about all models, but on the Hard Rock, yes, gran handles were in the center consol along with the Torx kit to remove the top, slush mats front and back. Had to ask parts for the recovery kit, but no problem. Oh yes, Freedom back was in the back. Like most I wouldn't have known what I was supposed to get without this website.

Looks like you have a decent camera, so can you try to snap a few more around noon on a sunny day?

It also looks like plastidipping the grey Rubi wheels is going to be in my future because that Willy's looks great!
Far less about the camera itself and more about the exposure. The lighter photos appear a bit over exposed and the darker ones above maybe a tad under.

So anyone have any clue if Copper Brown Pearl Coat will be limited to any specific trims? I'm still undecided as to which direction will suit me. I would love to see an "Altitude" type trim.
