How come all three of you have estimated delivery dates and I do not?

I can't answer that. My estimated delivery date popped up at the same time I hit D1.

The only thing that sticks out is that we (myself, vlelio, and weidheimer) all ordered Hard Rocks, but you ordered a Sahara.

That is speculation on my part, but nothing else jumps out at me.

Maybe one of the smart folks on the board can give you a better answer.

I wouldn't worry too much about the lack of an estimated delivery date as delivery dates appear to be mostly a WAG at this point of the process. The important thing is that you are D-1. I will be quite pleased if my HR shows up before elk season begins on Oct 18. It sure would come in handy!

My sales rep called today to say that I was in D1 and should hit the shipping process on 9/20. My Milous updates still show:

boodaddy205 (Wrangler Sport)
Date ordered: N/A
Current Status: New Order
D1 status date: TBD
Estimated delivery: TBD

I ordered on 8/30 and had a VIN on 9/4. Here's hoping that my salesman has accurate information.

re: 2015 Wrangler JK Information Thread

Can anyone comment on why the AHT trailer tow hitch for the two door Rubicon is not available currently? Will this option be available again or has it been discontinued permanently? Can someone confirm that there are no differences in spring rates, trailer sway dampening etc. without this option?

I originally ordered my 2 door Rubicon with this option 3 weeks ago when it was still available, and when I went down to the dealership today to get a copy of my build sheet I see that this option is no longer part of my configuration and its no longer an option in the system.

Is the Wrangler configured with a spliced "plug and play" style connector as part of the basic configuration for installing an aftermarket trailer brake light harness? I really do not want to have to cut and splice wires in order to install a hitch after the fact.

BY just wasn't orange enough for me, and Dozer was too orange!
SO just had too much red in person, it didn't help there was a Header

In the end I went with fire cracker red JKU sport, base, hardtop

The base JKU sport is a good value, it makes me almost want to give it a whirl...

Pat posted somewhere earlier in this thread, that the regular trailer tow option will not be available for the rest of the 2015 model year. If you need a factory hitch, you will have to go with the Max Tow package instead.

If you want to wire up your own light harness, you will have to tap/connect into the tail light wiring, either at the lights themselves or elsewhere. There is no "empty" connector just waiting for a trailer light harness to be plugged in ("plug and play"), on Wranglers without the factory trailing towing packages.
