re: 2015 Wrangler JK Information Thread

Had my 14 JKU in to the dealer today for an oil leak...10k miles in, time for a new Rear Main Seal and a new driver's side upper for my 1/2 doors. Awesome.

Anyways, noticed a 2015 Sport on the lot that included the Alpine stereo and the hard top Headliner, factory installed. Must have been an early build, since the tow package was only $295. ImageUploadedByJeepGarage1410918834.657069.jpg

The headliner was great...definitely something that you won't be disappointed with IF the $500 doesn't make you flinch. Carpeted texture seemed high quality and stitching was impressive. Definitely puts headliners near the top of my list of Jeep Christmas presents for my wife's Jeep. ImageUploadedByJeepGarage1410919035.023174.jpg

I have read in posts on here that people are saying that trailer sway control is now a standard feature on all Wranglers regardless of whether you opt for the hitch or not, but I am not so sure of this based on what the documention states.

The Jeep customer service person really was not a technical person by any means and was simply reading what her computer said and thereby could not give me a definitive answer.

Can anyone for sure confirm at least that TSC trailer sway control will be part of my Wrangler's computer system without getting the AHT package?
Have you read this thread?

Max Tow Package

Other than that, I think you are looking for a degree of absolute pure certainty that you might not be able to find here from your peers.

I do want the steps but I like the idea of more functionality at the same time. Really liking the LOD & the Nemesis sliders, but dang, a bit more $ than the factory steps, plus I'm not man enough to drill holes into a brand new frame myself so even more $.

Not THAT much more money. Case of beer, couple pizzas or some burgers and brats on the grill and I'm sure that you can round up half a dozen local manly Jeepers that'd be happy to put holes in a new Jeep for you.

Picked up my new JK Sahara yesterday from the dealer. Installed new OEM Rock Rails and BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A KO's 275/65R18 w/1.5" wheel spacers. The stance looks great. Was amazed at how quiet the premium soft top was going down the highway at 65 miles per hour. I love the all black interior look with a premium soft top on the inside. The new sound system does great.

Had no issues with the dealer applying the $500 golden ticket that was e-mailed to my sister. I used all my immediate family members names and email addresses and hers was randomly selected last week.

re: 2015 Wrangler JK Information Thread

Every time I see pics of a Hydro Blue Jeep on here it looks amazing. Than I go see it in person (2 different ones, including a Sahara with painted fenders like above) and it doesn't look anywhere near as dark as the pics on here make it out to be.
In the 2015 pamphlet I downloaded it looks even lighter than in person and more than a couple of shades off from what pics here look like.

I've calibrated the colors on my now 1 month old Mac twice just to be sure it wasn't something computer related. I don't get it........

I'm now holding out for the Copper Brown because of that but have no idea if it's more gold or brown than the pamphlet picture or the old Photoshopped pics on here.

re: 2015 Wrangler JK Information Thread

I picked up my jku hard rock on Friday and asked for the tow/recovery kit. Said it was normally sent to the parts department. They said they knew nothing about it and would look into it and call me back. I left a vm reminding them yesterday but haven't heard back. In my paperwork I can find nothing mentioning the dealer installed tow cables etc.. Where can I find a document I can point to for showing the dealer?

Another issue I ran into was that I had an email from jeep, subject: exclusive cash bonus. It had two coupons on it, one for $1500 and another for $500. I thought this was the golden ticket??? The salesman saw that the ad mentioned 2014 up front in bold (fine print also said 2015's) and wasn't interested in trying it, said it was a lot of effort for him. I said the fine print mentions 2015's as well and I asked they try it. He then went away and said he tried it and it was rejected. The rep was probably having a bad day and was replaced by another rep who I liked. But I never got a clear answer as to why it wasn't valid. Any one on here familiar with this "exclusive cash" email and why it would not apply to my jku hard rock purchase on Friday, it was ordered in the beginning of August?

Thanks for any help on the above.

Just for reference, that rep having the bad day also wanted me to pay based on the price after increase. Meaning he would apply my tread lightly discount to the current price and then apply my other discounts. I said the price when I ordered applied as I had made a deposit and my name was also on window sticker, he argued that was not the case and that Chrysler would only compensate him based on the current price. I kept up the good fight, stating as long as I picked up the vehicle within 10 days of delivery the price when ordered applied, and the manager came over and sided with me quickly and subsequently replaced him with the nice rep/salesperson.

The $500 ticket should have been used, the $1500 is only valid when purchasing a diesel grand Cherokee. I would go to the manager and ask him to claim the $500 and cut you a check for it. Dealer has 90 days from date of delivery to claim all rebates.

re: 2015 Wrangler JK Information Thread

Ordered on 8/10, received @ dealer on 9/17. Problem is, I'm being told the price increase will affect me. That's a difference of $860 for me. I'm tempted to kill the deal...I've looked through 100 pages of this thread to get some info but can't find it. What was the cutoff date for price protection?

I ordered my 2014 from the factory with AHT Tow Package. It basically consists of a 2" Receiver and 4 Pin Connector Wiring. As far as Trailer Sway Control, there isn't a button that you can turn on and off. The owner's manual talks about a trailer sway telescoping link that can be installed between receiver and trailer tongue, but I do not have this. I hope this was somewhat helpful to you.
