I have the 9 speaker Alpine, connectivity and the 130 radio head. I'm extremely happy with this set up. While voice recognition isn't any better than others, the sound is excellent and you can access stuff USB, bluetooth streaming or plug it in directly. I saw different posts about those not wanting this system. While I am an installed "nav hater" I highly recommend the Alpine 9 speaker sound system.

re: 2015 Wrangler JK Information Thread

Took the front doors off my week old jku hard rock a couple of days ago. Tried to put them back on today and realized all the hinge bolts were cracked in exactly the same way (all 4 bolts looked identically broken). Anyway, I can't put the doors back on until the hinge bolts are replaced. You might want to test your doors before you have any door off activity planned.

That's not good! Any pics of the broken hinges? I have had mine off twice and want to know what to look for in case it happens to mine.

Here's one, I may have my terminology slightly off, but you can see the place where there are the threads for the hinge bolt is just a stub of what it should be, the rest of it is snapped off and in the bolt. Both front doors look exactly the same, and i'm guessing it's likely the back doors are the same as well.

That was my initial thought, It's possible, but I don't believe so. I didn't use much force, just unscrewed them by hand with the torque wrench and they easily came off. Also since both doors have exactly the same break with the threads stuck in the bolt it would be hard to pull that off by mistake 4 times in a row. I haven't taken off the back doors yet but I guess I'll go try one of those and see if it's the same deal as well.

They did unscrew from the remaining thread when they came off.

Back doors are fine, the thing I noticed was that they took longer to unscrew because they had more of the thread intact.

I would think that if it's the threads that are broken you should be able to put the doors back on and they should work fine. They just won't have the extra security of the little black nuts that I have already misplaced.

Yep, agreed, I was more nervous about not having them screwed on until I read that some people normally keep them off.

There are engine break-in recommendations listed in the owners manual. I assume you were aware of them. It pertains to the rear axle and engine.

I kept my doors on without bolts for 13 years (on a TJ) and have never had an issue. It simply made them easier to take on and off.

Also regarding the leak issue from earlier posts: I have had no leaks whatsoever in my 2015 JKUR HR with the hard top. Even after taking the freedom panels on and off many times.

What's the secret to the USB mp3 from a men stick? I can't find any info on this. I have a 15 willys with the 130 and premium sound.
