I have a 14 that I bought in April and I have them, one on each side.

Do you mean that the picture posted is the sunset orange color for 2015 or it's close enough?

re: 2015 Wrangler JK Information Thread

Well, it's coming up on three weeks since I have took delivery of my jku hard rock. Love the vehicle, not too fond of the dealership. Since that date I have been asking for the tow strap kit and for a reason why they wouldn't honor the $500 golden ticket, they said it wasn't valid for 2015's, even though I showed them the fine print where it stated it was.

They have only provided vague responses and no one at the dealership has claimed to know anything about the dealer installed tow strap kit. Each of the 7+ times I've contacted them they say they'll get back to me the next day and haven't (via phone and email). However, this last time they got back to me on the $500 ticket, only after I told them Chrysler Incentives said it should have been accepted, verified everything with my vin, and need me to start an investigation to proceed. Their response was for me to send Chrysler the documents to get reimbursed and still nothing on the tow kit.

I also had to fight hard and get the general sales manager pulled in for the "regular" sales manager to stop claiming I had to pay the current sticker price, even though I ordered weeks before the price increase and had my name on the sticker. I flat out told them what Chryslers policy was about honoring the price when ordered since I had read it on this forum and he still wouldn't back down until the general manager came over.

Anyway, I wanted to warn all of you ordering your new jeeps, be careful which dealer you go to even if you go prepared with all the right information. The reputable dealers on this forum, even if a days drive away, or even two are probably worth it. My experience with this dealer can best be summed up by Will Ferrell

Exactly. I compared the Baja(Stinger Yellow) with other colors as a reference before mine showed, and it was spot on. I believe the same would go for the Sunset(Hemi Orange). Same color code and all. Essentially, it's the most accurate "pre" reference. In my humble opinion...

The color codes are the same, and more than likely its going to be the same, those that are looking for Sunset to be an awesome shade of orange are going to cry when they realize its just crappy Hemi Orange... I mean even Crush was a better shade.

Still looks like a legit color to me though. I just traded in my Billet, and no offense to Billet owners, but that was as about as boring a color as you can get. Still a great lookin Jeep, just not my style.

That being said, I LOVED my first Jeep, Rescue Green! And that was one fuuuunky color... To each his/her own.

I haven't see such mentioned by anyone here as one of the new features for '15.

If its not an additional mic for the rear passengers, what is it?

No mic behind that grill that I can see. I've had the back of the console off to install my Cobra 75 cb and the only thing back there is 2 plugs, one for the cup holder light, the other for the power window switches. And yes, I have Uconnect. Just give that panel a light tug straight back towards the rear seat and it will pop right off. Just a couple of spring clips holds it on.

The Tow Kits have been shipping from Warn directly to the dealerships for almost a year now. If they truly haven't been passing the kits onto the customers, they either have to have a rather large pile of them stashed somewhere, or they are selling them and pocketing the money.

IMHO, if they are selling them, they are selling stolen goods since each kit has a VIN on it, and that kit is the property of the person who bought the Wrangler with that VIN.

I assume you met all the requirements in the policy like putting down a deposit when you ordered.

It really isn't any money out of the dealer's pocket since as long as you do indeed meet all the requirements in the policy, Chrysler will refund/reimburse the increase back to the dealer. So, I don't know why any dealer would give a customer any hassle, unless they are simply naïve (untrained) in how this works.

I assume by having Uconnect, you confirm you have the connectivity package option. I am guessing that if one needed a specific option to get it, that would be the option. EDIT: Thinking about it some more, could one have to have the Alpine Speaker package option to get the extra mic????

It would be really strange if they went thru the trouble and expense to redesign that part of the center console, to add that small grill for '15, and then not use it for something.

Maybe Milous or pat@fieldsauto could add some insight????

Yeah, I have the connectivity package too, 730n with Alpine 9 speaker system. Weird, I never gave much thought to those grill openings while I was doing my install. Just thought they were decorative. Now you got me wondering what they are for.👍

And Translation in English (jeeppress-europe.com)

"The new Wrangler "X" special series is making its début on the French catwalk. It will be available as a two-door Wrangler or a four-door Wrangler Unlimited in the EMEA Region starting from the first quarter of 2015.

Two engines are available: the 2.8-litre turbo diesel delivering 200 hp of power and 460 Nm of torque, and the sparkling 3.6-litre petrol V6 Pentastar (284 hp of power and 347 Nm of torque). Both engines are matched to an automatic five-speed transmission. In Italy it will be available only fitted with the 2.8-litre turbo diesel engine with automatic five-speed transmission.

Modelled on the Jeep Wrangler Sahara version, the new "X" special series has a unique exterior with a body-coloured seven-slot grille with glossy black inserts, raised dual-intake engine bonnet, 18" Gloss Black alloy wheels and black fuel tank cap by Mopar. Furthermore, to grant the freedom of the open air driving experience of a unique 4x4 convertible car that only the legendary Wrangler can deliver, the new "X" version comes standard with the modular Freedom Top® in the same colour as the body.

The exclusive personalisation of the special series jumps to the eye on the interior as well, where the black leather seats with sporty fabric inserts and Light Slate Grey stitching, heated front seats, glossy Ceramic White inserts that distinguish the passenger grab handle, air vent surrounds on the dashboard and those of the instrument panel stand out. The on-board comfort for all occupants is ensured by a complete set of standard equipment that includes automatic climate control, leather steering wheel with built-in controls, heated front seats, special Mopar mats and a multimedia entertainment system and UconnectTM GPS satellite navigation system with 6.5" touchscreen, 40 GB hard disk, USB port, AUX input and DVD video player.

The legendary off-road capabilities of the Wrangler range are ensured by the part-time two-speed Command-Trac® NV241 four-wheel drive system with two-speed 'shift-on-the fly' gear selection and low gear range ratio of 2.72:1. All this and more without skimping on good looks to transfer the car's adventure-loving spirit into town, a concept also confirmed by the four liveries available: Bright White, Black, Firecracker Red and Baja Yellow."
