In your opinion... If you're expecting a really bright orange, yes you'll be disappointed. However a guy I work with has a Hemi Orange Challenger and it's a sharp color. I can't wait to get mine ordered...

"The new Wrangler "X" special series is making its début on the French catwalk. It will be available as a two-door Wrangler or a four-door Wrangler Unlimited in the EMEA Region starting from the first quarter of 2015.

Two engines are available: the 2.8-litre turbo diesel delivering 200 hp of power and 460 Nm of torque, and the sparkling 3.6-litre petrol V6 Pentastar (284 hp of power and 347 Nm of torque). Both engines are matched to an automatic five-speed transmission. In Italy it will be available only fitted with the 2.8-litre turbo diesel engine with automatic five-speed transmission.

Modelled on the Jeep Wrangler Sahara version, the new "X" special series has a unique exterior with a body-coloured seven-slot grille with glossy black inserts, raised dual-intake engine bonnet, 18" Gloss Black alloy wheels and black fuel tank cap by Mopar. Furthermore, to grant the freedom of the open air driving experience of a unique 4x4 convertible car that only the legendary Wrangler can deliver, the new "X" version comes standard with the modular Freedom Top® in the same colour as the body.

The exclusive personalisation of the special series jumps to the eye on the interior as well, where the black leather seats with sporty fabric inserts and Light Slate Grey stitching, heated front seats, glossy Ceramic White inserts that distinguish the passenger grab handle, air vent surrounds on the dashboard and those of the instrument panel stand out. The on-board comfort for all occupants is ensured by a complete set of standard equipment that includes automatic climate control, leather steering wheel with built-in controls, heated front seats, special Mopar mats and a multimedia entertainment system and UconnectTM GPS satellite navigation system with 6.5" touchscreen, 40 GB hard disk, USB port, AUX input and DVD video player.

The legendary off-road capabilities of the Wrangler range are ensured by the part-time two-speed Command-Trac® NV241 four-wheel drive system with two-speed 'shift-on-the fly' gear selection and low gear range ratio of 2.72:1. All this and more without skimping on good looks to transfer the car's adventure-loving spirit into town, a concept also confirmed by the four liveries available: Bright White, Black, Firecracker Red and Baja Yellow."

So the Sahara X, its a Sahara, with the 10A/X/HR hood, normal Sahara wheels that are accented in gloss black (like the 10A/X/HR wheels are the standard Rubicon wheels accented in gloss black), and the Polar Edition white interior accents.

I'm so excited! This is what I want for my first jeep now to decide between red or white!

Looks like a bunch of random pieces put together. I don't understand the white interior accents at all. I wonder if the U.S. Version will have different bumpers though. Glad I didn't wait and went for the Hard Rock.

That seems to be true of many of the Special Editions. Just new combinations of familiar parts.

Will be interested to see if it's got anything to do with the US version. If this is the extent of it, I'm with you. Very glad I ordered my Rubicon (which should hopefully be built tonight) and didn't wait around for the X.

IMHO, if they are selling them, they are selling stolen goods since each kit has a VIN on it, and that kit is the property of the person who bought the Wrangler with that VIN.

I assume you met all the requirements in the policy like putting down a deposit when you ordered.

It really isn't any money out of the dealer's pocket since as long as you do indeed meet all the requirements in the policy, Chrysler will refund/reimburse the increase back to the dealer. So, I don't know why any dealer would give a customer any hassle, unless they are simply naïve (untrained) in how this works.
In regards to the warn tow kits:
I made the same statement to them in writing, telling them they should have been receiving these for the past year or longer whenever they take delivery of a Willy's or Hard Rock/X, to which they responded they still didn't know and would look into this "tow kit thing I was talking about". Again, no response.

As far as meeting requirements, there was no argument that I didn't meet requirements or that I was mistaken about Chryslers policy. The argument from the sales manager was that he "wasn't sure/guaranteed" they would be reimbursed, so I would have to apply my tread lightly discount based on the current sticker price, not the price when ordered.

Same picture above is used in this article - Not exactly good news for the next generation Wrangler:

http://www.autonews.com/article/2014...ody-marchionne

In his strongest comments to date about Fiat Chrysler’s future plans for the Wrangler, Marchionnne hinted strongly the next-generation version is likely to be fundamentally different from the venerable off-roader available today.

The next Wrangler, due in 2017, has to lose weight and be powered by smaller engines than its current 3.6-liter V-6 engine in order to help Fiat Chrysler meet stricter U.S. fuel economy rules.
Yet building the off-roader’s current body-on-frame tub out of aluminum, which is under serious consideration, will mean moving Wrangler output away from its current plant in Toledo, Marchionne told reporters during a press conference at the Paris Auto Show.
“If the solution is aluminum, then I think unfortunately that Toledo is the wrong place, the wrong setup to try and build a Wrangler, because it requires a complete reconfiguring of the assets that would be cost-prohibitive,” Marchionne said. “It would be so outrageously expensive that it would be impossible to try and work out of that facility.”

Marchionne hinted that the next Wrangler might switch to unibody construction as he named North American factory alternatives with available capacity. All of the plants he mentioned produce vehicles on unibody platforms.

Marchionne said development of the next Wrangler is ongoing, yet some things are clear because of FCA’s lack of global resources.
“We firmly believe that we have to downsize the engines that are going into the Wrangler, just in terms of displacements, and then increase the capabilities by putting turbos in and doing other things to that engine,” Marchionne said. “This requires a complete rethink of the architecture. And before we start committing capital to particular places, we need to make sure that we don’t spend an inordinate amount of money trying to get it done. That’s my concern.”

Archer: There will hopefully be a Hydro Blue Rubicon Unlimited heading your way either tonight or tomorrow night. (Last 8 FL561714) Give her a pat for me if you see her. Thanks for all the great insider intel. If I'm ever in Toledo at some ungodly hour of the morning when your guys get off, I'd love to buy a round of breakfast beers for some of you fine gents.
