Don't know and don't care. Just wish if it was being forced on us that it would work as designed, or should I say, work when designed. Maybe they've fixed it, but I seem to recall quite a few people saying the same thing - when using the remote start, it turns the AC on whether it needs it or not. Don't know about y'all, but, I get better mpg with the AC off. Oh...and btw, turning the AC off turns the light off, but, it doesn't turn the AC off. You can still hear/feel the compressor running.

That'd really make me mad too...seems a switch is in order. Find the wire at the compressor that sends the "on" signal, cut it, and wire up a switch inside to allow or disallow. It will throw a code for sure, and might even kick on a ck eng light, but your compressor wouldn't run.

Has anyone ordered a Sunset URHR? Is the auto a/c forced on the Unlimited Hard Rock also?

Usually AC continues to engage the compressor until the temperature of the cooling system has reached a low enough point. Then it shuts down until next use. Been that way in all of my AC vehicles.

I had Auto A/C on my 2012 and hated it. My 2014 does not have it. I guess it is coming with my 2015 Sunset Orange JKUR 😡. I have not seen the final order yet.

Is it possible that it is working as designed? Perhaps it is doing that to condition the air. The humidity portion of the system may be why it comes on with remote start. I had a couple of Hondas and they turned the AC on for that and for windshield defog/defrost; I think for the same reason. I am, however, not an expert on HVAC.

Its required on all 4-door Sahara and Rubicon Unlimiteds, and the Hard Rock is still a Rubicon.

Auto air is a forced option yes on the Hard rock Rubicon.

That an interesting and correct observation.

Not getting into the issue/debate of whether the AC compressor should be 'on' or not, but simply focusing on that the AC indicator light should always accurately indicate it. The fact that such isn't true, IMHO, is a bad design that needs to be corrected by Jeep.

I believe this is not true. The auto A/C is option HAB ($395 MSRP). A pre-requisite is the Power Convience Group which is part of the Hard Rock package.

re: 2015 Wrangler JK Information Thread

Crazy question time. Got my 2015 JKURHR the other day. Parked it in the garage and it looked uneven. Turns out the car is not level. The right side is about 5/8" lower than the left. Checked with a level and measured ground to bottom of rear fender. Tire pressures checked and are all the same. So what's the deal? Why would that happen and should I be concerned?

Are the numbers on the shocks identical as well?
