I was hoping to hear the answer to this question too. Anyone have an opinion on the durability of the cloth vs leather interior?

I'm not sure you can get an accurate answer to this question. How many years ago do you want to vehicle to have been made so you can judge? How many times has somebody slid into and out of each vehicle you're comparing? Did they have kids, dogs, etc? Were their body sizes similar? Just seems to be too many variables.

If you're worried about cloth longevity, get seat covers. Our 2004 Rubicon has cloth seats that I haven't seen since 2004 because they've been covered the whole time. I'm going to bet they look brand new. Heck, let me go peek... Yup, look brand new. Seat covers (denim based, neoprene based, etc) are much cheaper than leather options typically as well. I will tell you the one downside is the extra heat on your backside due to more layers and thus less natural airflow (imagine the war between traditionalists and people wanting new features if there was a Wrangler with cooled seats! Oh wait, we already have heated options, so it's probably coming soon...).

Cloth longevity is going to be affected by how often and long it is exposed to Sun light (UV) as with most synthetic materials. As stated above, if you want them to last longer then put seat covers over them. There are some pretty sweet looking ones available.

Quick Question. Has anyone on here replaced the side decals on the hood of the Rubicon with some of the aftermarket ones available. I like the Red black ones like the HR but want them on my non-HR rubicon. Just wanted to see if they looked as good as they seem to online.

Regarding AC turning on automatically when you use Auto-start: forgive the guy with zippered windows who hasn't even locked his doors since 2007, but were I to own a vehicle with remote start I'm pretty sure the primary reason I'd use it is so that the heater/AC could do some work to moderate the interior temperature BEFORE I got into the Jeep. If I don't want the interior heated/cooled.... Then why would I waste gas letting it run before my backside was occupying a seat?

Earlier in the thread I asked about the HRR red/black decals because I didn't want them and people told me they're pretty easy to take off and then just look around for the replacement you want or somebody to custom make it (I liked a red/white/blue one I'd seen)... Here's what it seems you want:
MOPAR 68200547AA - MOPAR® Rubicon "10th Anniversary" Hood Decal for Jeep® Vehicles - Quadratec

So, go for it. Seems like not that expensive of a way to personalize.

The leather seats in my 20 year old ZJ look like new. No wear, no cracks.

How often you clean the seats and treat the leather? What do you use?

Is the rumor true about Atlantic Blue being a new color for 2015?

I wondered about this. In my 2013 I wanted to have a nice drive in the 70 degree weather. I turned the fan on, put it on the coolest setting, and was enjoying the drive, when the air got really cold like the A/C was on. The light wasn't on showing the A/C on, and it may have been a bit humid but nothing that would fog windows up or anything. I ended up having to turn the dial up until it got to a temp matching the outside. I like driving with the A/C on, it's saves some gas. I thought it was even broken because until now, nobody could find out why it happened. Mine is a 2013 JKU, manual controls.

Is there any worry about the risk of this refrigerant in a vehicle - being as it's flammable? If you rear end someone or hit a deer, and it punctures the fuel line and A/C and there's one spark - BOOM!? Not sure how likely that would happen which is why I'm posting..

"Since R1234 is similar to 134A, your old refrigerant leak detector will be capable of sniffing out leaks of R1234, however R1234 is flammable! Its best to check with the

manufacturer of your leak detector to determine if it can safely be used for HFO-1234yf."
