re: 2015 Wrangler JK Information Thread

Hey all just subscribed! Very new to the Jeep world always wanted one. Supposedly, there isn't any 2dr sports with a manual transmission within 600 miles of Ft. Benning. This is why I have decided to order a '15. Could anyone give me an estimate on how much a 2dr sport with A/C, hardtop, tow package, 3.73 gears, and leather interior should be around? Or where I could find this info? Can I even order these options for the sport? Thanks for all the info on this thread. Looking forward to getting my first Jeep!

Hey all just subscribed! Looking to order my first Wrangler. I was wondering if yall could help me out. I'm looking to order a 2dr sport manual, with hardtop, a/c, tow package, 3.73 gears, and the leather interior. Could I get an estimated msrp or pointed in a right direction to find one? Also, are the 3.73 gears and leather interior even possible options for the sport? THanks for all the great info in the thread! The jeep community is seems awesome!

You can get it all, except leather, on a Sport. The only Sport that has any leather is the Freedom Edition, and that's leather trimmed with Tectonic fabric. Definitely hardier than the standard Sport cloth seats, but not full leather.

There was a post buried in here somewhere for who to email for a PDF with all the pricing and options. There was also a spreadsheet made by someone that has been made available for download. It should be within the last five pages; you could scroll back through and look for that, too.

Milous or Patrick, could you add that email address for the PDF in post one?

I would never want my vehicle to constantly shut off in stop and go driving. I'd wear the starter motor out in my morning commute. I hope the USA doesn't get a nanny state JK.

If you're just looking to price this out go to the Jeep.com site and build it out.
AFAIK, the prices have gone up about $200 for the base models and the options are pretty much the same. StarBrite is rite, no leather option for the sport model. If you don't like the stars from the freedom package, they are easily removed. Just check out Starbrite's build on the other jeep site. I had the dealer remove it and buff the hood. No cost. I kept the star on the side.

"Or I guess build it from kbb, they do a pretty good job of giving you the Invoice pricing." Awh, just ignore those posts, I'm an idiot and didn't really understand your question. The stuff about Starbrite's rig is true though.

Differences between 3.73 and 4.10 for on road driving is greatly appreciated. Off road I know 4.10 is unsurpassed. But are there major differences in road manners with the right tires ie. Duratraks combined with 4.10 axle ratio? We love the steel bumpers and look of the new Rubicon Hard Rock Edition out of all Wranglers, including the upgraded interior. but with the added 1/2 inch lift, we're a little concerned about its on pavement manners vs the Sport for example. Thanks for reading

4.10s on the road compared to 3.73s will give you a faster take off from a stop and it's better when you start to think about larger tires down the road. 35'' tires and 4.10s match very well with each other. As far as handling it's not going differ much at all when gear ratios are concerned. It's more about performance than physical handling

You won't notice the 1/2" lift on the road...you'll notice a difference in performance and fuel economy (better and worse, respectively) with 4.10 gears over 3.73's.

How much on the fuel economy?...for me it won't really matter as long as they release a HRE in Anvil I'll be getting it with a Manual trans. Just curious as to what I'm gonna be loosing in fuel economy
