What kind of suspension is in the Rubicon Hard rock..?

Thanks Guys!
Pat posted "Stiffer springs in the front"

Here is something I posted up early and my experience:
"Funny thing about the springs, my 2014 JKUX sat at the exact same height as my buddies 10A. I have 19/61 springs and I believe his were the 006/009."

From the reading I did, the first 10A's came with a different number system on the springs than any other JK, your typical JK range for front was anywhere from like 13-19 and rear 55-60, depending on 2-door or 4-door, sport vs sahara vs rubi, tow package, hard top, etc...the higher the number the stiffer/taller the spring. People tried to make sense of the 10A spring numbers but just as they did even those numbers changed, some 10A owners were getting the 006 springs in the front and springs that had more of the traditional numbering style on the back but they were a 61(which I got on a 2014 JKURX)

So with Pat's statement I am going to guess the 1/2 inch of lift is just a stiffer spring on the front that can add a 1/2in of lift. I say "can" because before modding my JKURX I compared it to a very similar equipped 10A JKU and the heights were almost exactly the same front and back. Only difference being the 10A had about 5k miles on it and some say they notice some settling by that point.

So to answer your question with my best guess the HRR should have your standard rubicon shocks with the stiffest/tallest spring they are making on the rear and a "special" HRR/10A only spring on the front. Nobody will really know until they hit dealers/owners and people can look at the numbers.

Im really just trying to figure out if that suspension would fit me or the 2.5 AEV lift...mainly NYC on road driving...with 33" on 18s ( 295/65 Duratrac 18s)

Here is my 2014 JKURX with 285 Duratracs on 17s (33's) before I lifted it and went to 35's. Drove it this way for a few months, no rubbing issues at all on road or trail.

Could someone confirm the code that should be on the build sheet for the 4.10 gear option with the automatic transmission?

You may want to wait until one of the dealership guys confirms, but from what I can see on the sheet I have, the code is DM8.

do you think a 2.5 AEV lift would be overkill jusr for DD city streets..I like a firm tight ride...or would the Hard rock be firm enough..

You will be fine with the Rubicon Hard Rock or whatever its being called now..that being said i have AEV 2.5 on 33's and love it. If you go with AEV get the Geometry correction brackets for an extra $100. Good luck.

Other thing to measure is total height. I know parking garage selection when I drive into a city is dependent on if my XJ fits. You want to have fun but also not get stuck when trying to find a place to park.

re: 2015 Wrangler JK Information Thread

Thanks very much for this thread guys. Huge help figuring out what I'm going to do. Spent some time at the local dealership who didn't have the 2014 I wanted and couldn't locate anything close to what I was after within the state. By the way, they told me it would be a 2014 if I ordered today...

If I understand correctly, it looks like that Copper Brown won't be available for the Rubicon and the only interior for the Rubicons will be black leather? Or am I reading things wrong?

My ideal would be a Rubicon with a brown/tan/saddle interior and that Copper Brown paint in an Auto. I live in a hot climate so even the dark brown is a bit iffy but I'd just rather not get yet another white vehicle if at all possible.

Also, can anyone suggest a California dealership that might be willing to go with these slightly below invoice ordering policies if I were to send in exactly what I was after? The lowest I could get my local guys to go today on a mostly loaded 14' was their flier advertised price. But it wasn't really what I wanted and couldn't justify buying it unless it was a great deal (which according to edmunds it was not). I doubt they're going to be able to help me with the price inflexibility and level of ignorance of the models, options and availability I saw today.

I'll drive anywhere in the state to support a good dealer (especially if they support this site with information or any other way). You guys seem to know who might qualify.

Yes, a couple of times. Latest is dated 6/17/2014. Mostly minor tweaks and error corrections. Have not seen any pricing changes.
