My dealer quotes $1200 for leather seating.

I guess Rubi Xs/HRs are coming with leather already so it would be sort of a waste to swap it. Of course the dealer might give you a credit or might find a Rubi / Sahara owner with fabric seats who might buy the black leather off of you.

Do you know if all dealers offer the after market katzkins? I'm going Rubi X or apparently HRE and after Anvil drops the red interior is literally all I'm waiting for....I'll have to do something by sept either though. Just hate to pay for factory leather then replace it from jump street. can't believe black is the only color they offer....smh

Yep. The cheapest Wrangler and the most expensive Wrangler, are both limited to just a black interior.

That's why I have this deep down aversion to black interiors on any vehicle I plan to purchase. To my way of thinking, a black interior is the mark (hashtag) of the overly stingy/fugal. But I have a black interior in my JKURX none the less.

It's a practicality and heat thing for me. We've got months and months of 100 weather and I go to the desert a lot where it's in the 110+ easily during the day. It's just flipping miserable with everything black inside and just covering the seats really doesn't help that much. That's also why just replacing with different colored seats isn't a great solution. You have to paint everything inside.

Getting dust out of cloth seats is also a nightmare so leather is the preference. Heck, even seat covers trap dust.

Regardless, just moaning! I'm buying one; I just hate the idea of spending $40k AND waiting on an order to not get what I'd really like. But if they don't make it, they don't make it.

I live in So Florida. I have an old slow 08 white with khaki interior, cloth. It is pleasant to be in.
I don't like leather in hot weather with one notable exception. My wife's 2011 GC overland has a/c ventilated leather seats... it is fantastic!

We're dry though, almost no humidity at all which I imagine makes the leather a bit different experience but just guessing. Just sun, more sun oh and have some more sun from 06:00 to 20:00. Clouds look at us and go, "no thank you" and rain laughs at us.

All my vehicles have been white and light interiors and leather for the last couple decades save a sports car I bought briefly. That was a mistake and did not stick around black cloth; never again.

I lived in the Mojave Desert for 4 years... I get your drift. Too bad JKs do not have light interiors anymore.

I wouldn't pay more than 1% below invoice(standard affiliate pricing) if your close to one of the Fields(Pat's) dealerships they will go 2% below invoice no hassling if you have an affiliate rewards#. The only time I have heard of people not getting 1% below or lower is those who live in very remote areas.

Also, if you have an AR#(and the dealership participates in the program) they have to show you the build sheet that will actually show you the invoice price, the AR price(your price), and it also shows the employee purchase price.

Hey Milous,

I know you had said early on you thought that Granite might return at some point this new model year. Heard anything yet that might indicate it will? Thanks!
