Thumbs down 2016 Accessories

I've not seen anything yet that says that a 2015 and 2016 changed enough that any accessories built for last year won't fit the coming year, so I'm planning out accessories/upgrades.

For our 2016 Rubicon Hard Rock (Unlimited), so far I've ordered:
"Mopar Accessories" half doors/trim front/rear
Trek Armor seat covers front/rear (planning on splitting the front seat outside seams to hopefully accommodate the side airbags)
New RUBICON stickers (I'm not a huge fan of the red/black on the Hard Rock) - got 4 so I can make our '04 and our '16 match
Tire cover

I've been looking at:
backup cameras
MyGig Lockpick
winches
CBs

Any thoughts on the list I've been looking at? Any things I need to put on the list of stuff to look at that I don't have there yet? Planning on waiting a year or three on a lift. Haven't been paying a lot of attention- is there something like the steering box on our 2004 TJ that looks to be in a vulnerable position but isn't adequately protected from the factory on a 2016 Unlimited Hard Rock?

Also thinking of what color I could use to repaint the tow hooks to get away from the red/black, but I want something easily noticeable (which I figure is the intent of the red and makes good sense) yet works well with the Tank and black colors- any input there? My only thoughts thus far have been "suck it up on the red/black"...

Thanks!

The only item that has a slight chance of not being compatible with the 2016, might be the MyGig Lockpick. We have no idea yet, either way, if something changed for 2016 that would cause the Lockpick grief.

Good to hear. I was planning on buying the lockpic soon. Guess I will hold off for a bit to make sure things are ok with the 430N before I buy it

Re: 2016 Accessories

not sure why the lock pick would have any issue since it's the same 430n in the 16 as the 15. at least i hope so since i'm way too impatient and already bought one...

Its the way the vehicle's general software is written. Subtle changes, which are undocumented to the public, is what has caused the Lock Pick (and units like it) grief in the past.

No idea about 2016's yet.

Why would you not just order the srs airbag compliant seat covers?

I only found a couple of options and they didn't impress me like the Trek Armor ones. For instance the Wed Okole ones are neoprene and I've learned over 11 years the "hard way" that the lack of breathing through them makes me sweat like crazy. Only saw one other company that did air bag compatible and they just didn't grab me. Saw the Trek Armor ones on a Jeep at the local 4x4 shop and they looked great and quite functional with the MOLLE system built in.

Slow down brother, I was just trying to help. Search Bartact, same as Trek Armor, Tighter Molle setup And airbag compliant. I have these in my wifes Jeep. Let me know if you need a pic.
I am quite familiar as I also have the Treks in my Rubicon. Was trying to help you through a huge mistake by altering something that is already available.

If you thought I was being defensive, that's the wrong impression. I was just trying to provide a comprehensive answer. I'd love to find these in an airbag compliant product. I just did a search on bartact and that's the ones I'm getting. ...but the first page had a FAQ at the bottom that said that they don't want to accept the liability of claiming to be airbag compatible... Do you have a link to the ones that are?
