I am using it with a 730N, but that doesn't matter. If you are not using it with a compatible Kenwood headunit, it includes a control puck. I have my puck mounted on the side of my console.

The control puck is what one uses during installation to adjust and align the guide lines, imagine compensation, etc. After installation, the control puck is used to switch display modes.

I've watched the youtube on the install but where did you put your camera so you can look straight down like that?

My camera is located up between the top spokes of my spare.

The camera doesn't move. The camera does image processing. It grabs what would be the distorted view thru the very bottom edge of its lens. It then un-distorts that image, flattens it, and what you see on the screen is as if the camera did pivot to look straight down.

It also does something very similar to get a straight left and straight right view (cross traffic check).
