First off- don't expect your dealer to be knowledgable like an enthusiast. I can only assume that the average salesperson doesn't believe they're paid enough to be that into what they're selling? Not sure, but I've never met a salesperson that's read even the owners manuals for the cars they sell... That's why it's good to be active here- we get all the info we can and hopefully are in position to get what we truly want that way...

I'm thinking don't hold your breath there. Or be prepared to go further to work with Pat at Fields that really hasn't been active in the 2016 thread like he had been in 2015... That's a ways away though- Illinois I believe.

I worked a deal below that and then said "I know you get paid to process affiliate deals, so here's mine- let's make the price a bit better". It seemed to work pretty well that way.

Good luck!

(The group buy thread(s) have been deleted as they were not put up by sponsors of the site I believe- only sponsors are allowed to advertise in that way)

[QUOTE=donkitchen;1218797]I'm in the MD area and looking for any good suggestions/contacts for anybody you've personally dealt with here in the MD/VA/PA area.

If it's not too far, check out Bill Wang at Jeff D'Ambrosio (Downingtown, PA)...I ordered my 2016 Wrangler Sport in early August and expect to pick it up later this week/early next week. Bill was very helpful and seemed to be in the know on the 2016 changes although there were not a lot of changes for the model I chose.

Check out Lindsay Jeep in Manassas, VA. I drove from upstate NY down to there because I got such a great deal. I worked with Mr. Lindsay himself and another salesman. I have tread lightly as well. They're a volume dealer and have excellent pricing even before tread lightly. They also gave me what I wanted in trade on my older JK. Great dealer in that area to work with. Good luck.

Is Hyper-Green going to be limited to Sahara or will it be available in the Rubicon Hard Rock? I may be waiting for something that is not going to happen. How far before March will Jeep tell us if there is limits on what models a new color can go on?

I am wondering the same thing. Would hate to wait for it and it be for special edition only

Good point. Its almost a strong contradiction in requirements (highly paid salespeople AND below invoice pricing).

A dealer that sells below invoice, is not likely to also have the highest paid salespeople. Its still the old, you get what you paid for. Paying salespeople the lowest, will generally only draw and retain the least talented (those with talent will look for a higher paying job).

It would have been far better to have asked, "I am willing to pay 20% over sticker at dealer that has well trained salespeople. Pls point me to one.".

Im surprised no dealer has tried to take the salesperson out of the equation completely. Seems to me they aren't needed much anymore and you could just have 1 or 2 people entering orders and eliminate the sales person all together. Offer the best pricing in your area and get most of the business and let people that want the sales experience go somewhere else. Maybe have an information desk for brief questions and just let people see maybe 1 or 2 of each model on the floor. I think cars would fly out of that dealership they'd need much less parking area space and could focus more on service and parts where they make most of their money anyway.

What's up with the dealers in VA? One dealer 2,000 off invoice and 20 minutes away is the group buy DC area dealer. Talked to my local dealer and they can not figure it out.

Milous,

What are you hearing from your end regarding Granite Crystal Metallic? I heard something similar to what dkmatter heard. My dealer said he's hearing that GCM won't be available to order till end of September.

Also, any new order guide today? Since they just sent one out, makes me wonder if they'll do another one so soon.

This wait is gonna kill me...
