The 2006 iteration wasn't bad, either:

re: 2016 Wrangler JK Information Thread

I apologize for asking this...but I can't find the thread: how do we track our order if all we have is the VON number? I just ordered it yesterday, but wanted to be able to track it when it's available. Thanks in advance.

re: 2016 Wrangler JK Information Thread

Just placed my order for my 2016 last night. This thread has basically been my bible for the last few months as I was waiting and saving.
I ordered a Hydro Blue 6 speed JKU sport with 3.73 gears, limited slip, connectivity group, and a hard top.

I had a few updates for you guys from when I ordered. now both of these are things I was a little disappointed about but not deal breakers at all for me.
Firstly my dealer couldn't find the dark saddle cloth as an option anywhere on the Chrysler ordering page, I'm assuming it might be offered later as part of a package or something. That wasn't at all a deal breaker for me but others might be more in love with it than I and might want to wait until there is more info on the saddle cloth.
Second, and this one kind of pissed me off but apparently Sirius is a required feature. It may be because i got the connectivity group but I'm not sure. My salesman seemed surprised and he said it looked like it might be required for all new wranglers (maybe some contract they have with sirius to ensure sales volume and special pricing I dont know). He even showed me on the print out how the sirius was required.

But I figured I'd through that info into here. Maybe one of the forum vets have some info. This was my first new vehicle purchase and overall it went very well. I'm a AAA member and used their car buying program and got a 3.5% below invoice with practically no negotiating, so if you are a member I suggest you get a quote from them.

Lol... that's exactly how I feel about yellow. (I've always considered yellow to be a bit on the feminine side) Paint a vehicle yellow... and it's immediately ruined.
Guess that's why they offer more than one color right?

Dark Saddle interior is not an option on the Sport model; only Sahara and Rubicon.

As far as Sirius goes, I believe Sirius has been a forced requirement for some time; if I'm not mistaken it was forced on my 2014 as well. They should just consider it as "standard" and increase the base price.

Yea, Sirius/XM is built-in to the 130S, 430, 430N, and the dearly departed 730N.

I think the only way to avoid Sirius/XM, is to get the 130, which precludes getting the Connectivity Group.

re: 2016 Wrangler JK Information Thread

I have a question for ANYONE that may know the answer: does 5% BELOW invoice seem too good to be true? I've got one dealer telling me that at the Chrysler Affiliates 1% below invoice they are giving me all the discount they can, that there is no holdback, no rebates and that they are making NO profit on the deal. The other dealer gave me 5% below invoice, saving an additional $1400 off the 1% below. Now, one is a much bigger dealer than the next.....May that be the difference. Please inbox me if this isn't the best place to discuss this issue. Thanks.

The one saying Affiliates gives them no profit is lying to you. FCA pays them extra money to accept that. They get plenty of holdback/profit. Even with the 4-5% range, there's still a little bit of holdback left for the dealership.

I would also like to know the answer on this. I HATE jousting with car dealers! Many are telling me that $500 over invoice is as low as they go. Calling BS.
