IMHO, Milous is giving us the "real poop".

When getting a special edition like Back Country is it possible to not get the leather seats? I assume not, but would be remiss to not ask. I'm another purple geek so I was pretty excited for today to come. However I think leather seats might be a deal-breaker for me.

Just placed my order for JKHR all white. All options except smokers group, block heater and max tow (can't see spending $400 for a receiver hitch that I can get and install for $80). The wait begins.

No need to be humble or go with opinion. Asked for and received newest order guide which definitely shows XP only on 2 & 4 door Back Country editions.

Am I happy? Hell no, extremely disappointed. Although the numbers work out to get an HR in Hydro both my wife and I would much prefer XP. If they expand the color availability later I may have to visit a therapist......

Milous may not have full details when we want them but I've never seen him give gad info.

The Sahara base is a deal breaker for me. If it's not based off the Rubi I'm not interested.

Sad to say I think this may be my case as well - I dislike leather seats and I can't stand the body color fender flares & if I am reading the order guide right I don't think I am going to like the grille either. . . & that is just the looks part of it.

re: 2016 Wrangler JK Information Thread

I've been lurking on this thread since July, and watching daily since the announcement of XP as a real deal. I was going to order a Sahara anyway so I'm okay with the Back Country, but I have one question. Anyone have pics of the "active lifestyle" decal package? I tried googling and it looks like perhaps -- mountains on the quarter panels? Kinda hoping not. I didn't want any decals, honestly. Not my style.

PS Thanks Milous for all the info! Glad the strike is averted, pending ratification.

re: 2016 Wrangler JK Information Thread

Decals can be removed easily and leather seats can be covered. Quite frankly, Trek Armor (Bartact now?) seat covers are pretty much my go-to Top 3 mod recommendation anyways. The factory cloth and leather aren't anything special, but having easy-to-clean, waterproof seat covers that completely protect the seats enough that they'll look brand new when you decide to trade or sell...

At first I didn't like the thought of those cloth inserts - I want the leather - but now I'm thinking, that's maybe a compromise I could get on board with. I live in Texas and I'm a woman. You've never felt pain until you've sat on a black leather seat in the direct August afternoon sun while wearing cutoff shorts.

Are the inserts really cloth? I have been wanting a Sahara with the metal bumpers, but the cloth would be a deal breaker.

Ya know, a quick fix to your "cut off shorts on black leather in the mid day august sun" is to not wear cutoff shorts when you know youre gonna get in a vehicle thats been sitting in the midday august sun, or keep a towel to put on the seat. Problem solved, get leather. Its better and will outlast cloth.
