re: 2016 Wrangler JK Information Thread

Got mine ordered yesterday! JKURHR in Granite. 5speed auto with 4.10, BLACK hardtop, remote start, auto temperature control, and engine block heater. MSRP 45915, and I'm buying at 41,500 +TTL. Pretty good deal for me as there was no hassle and everything was done over email. I just sent an initial email and said "give me your best price." PM me if you want info on the dealer, Midwest area. Only question is how long until I get a VIN/VON? Salesman said that I would get an email from Chrysler with the info and I've been checking my email for the last 20 hours nonstop almost. Can't wait to once again be back in the JEEP community. Really miss my 98 Chilli Pepper Red Sport, but my mistake for having kids I guess and a wife wanting more of a "family car."

Ordered my JKUHR Oct 7. Got the VON same day from the dealer. On configuration sheet. No VIN yet, so you may want to give your computer a rest. Sign up for level 3 on this site and you can track daily progress. I'm with you though... waiting!

I would never discourage cut offs, quite the opposite.

I just believe people need to use a little brain power before opening their mouth. If the seat is hot and you're wearing something that would make your skin burn, put something down. A retarded monkey can figure that one out.

No, I will not apologize to the retarded monkey political activists.

Okay, negotiating with a dealer for a Hard rock, is friends and family pricing the same as Chrysler affiliate pricing? the dealer says it is, I'm not so sure, FFP price is a little higher than 1% under invoice pricing.

The Trail Kit was the only unusual exception (which it why it gave so many people grief).

Can you trust your dealer? Good question, but not one I can help answer. Though, I have to ask, why in the world did you buy from anything from someone you feel you can't trust?

Make sure you're dealing with the fleet manager.
Long story short. I contacted a number of Jeep dealers in my area (KC) telling them exactly what I wanted to order - that I was prepared to order and had money to spend and asked for their best no BS offer. Some I contacted via Trucar, some via Edmunds and others just direct email. Most high balled me until one dealer came through with an offer that beat my initial target of 2% below invoice by over 700 bucks. Thought was too good to be true and asked him to rerun his numbers. Thought maybe he'd estimated a 2-door by mistake. Nope. The dealer is a high volume one and they had been given an extra allocation because of their sales. In any case, I got what I want at a price better than expected. I know sites like Truecar get paid some kind of commission, so wasn't too surprised to see those dealers come in kinda high. In my experience, armed with knowledge about MSRP vs Invoice from pricing guides and shared experience obtained here you can negotiate from a position of strength.

re: 2016 Wrangler JK Information Thread

Went today to place my order for a JKURHR in white but my dealer was having a problem with the system. I wanted the black hard top and fenders but everytime he went on to add the dual tops it change the hard top to white body colored. Anyone know if this is just a computer glitch or is it really this way?

Things may have changed in the order system since August, but I assure you our 2016 JKURHR has dual tops both of which are black on our Tank colored Jeep- doesn't have to be body color.

That's what I'm going to get only manual vs. auto. Waiting another month or so to see how all the new options/colors/packages play out. Would hate to jump into something now and regret it for some reason.

Yeah we even tried that on different colors but white was the only one that wouldn't let him do it.
