At my work we get a discount from a few dealer ships the discount we get is dealer cost lol so below employee pricing, I got my hard rock 2015 fully loaded with dual hard top and soft top for 44000 window pricing was 50k

At the time I traded in my 2014 was also white with the white hardtop I made the dealer swap the black one from the hard Rock to the white one lol

hovsep-

I don't know where you are located, but in Illinois, leasing has always been a lousy deal if you are planning to purchase at lease's end. Why? Because you get double taxed- sales tax is charged at the time of the lease (rolled into the lease payment) AND at the time you buy the vehicle after the lease.

For what you are thinking, a lease is just another, more complicated way to finance a purchase, and with your score your rate should be very favorable. Dealers often make referral money if they steer you to a lender, and that could conceivably help your negotiated price.

Unless there are mitigating circumstances (some super low lease price or incentive, your company paying the lease, an artificially low residual negotiated upfront) there hasn't been much reason to lease when you intend to buy. I'll confess I haven't leased in 25 years; I put way too many miles on in a year to make it worthwhile.Things may be different where you live, and even in Illinois (but I can't imagine this @##$^@state giving up ANY chance to collect money).

Finally pulled the trigger yesterday (10/12/2015)...

JKURHR -GCM
Auto w/4.10s
430N
Dual Tops
AC w/Auto Temp Control
Front Seat Side Air Bags
Remote Start

Was able to get ~5.8% below FWP(invoice), ~$5625 off MSRP. Without haggling what so ever. Was my most enjoyable car buying experience ever.

Now the wait begins...

Honestly, you just have to go to the right dealer. Some of them offer great pricing. For example, I had a 5.5% below invoice offer from a dealer in Houston, but chose to go with a local dealer in IL, even though they were just 4.6% below, because my end cost would be less.

I'm sure if you PM gotbru, they'd be willing to share the info on the dealer they used. You can reach out to your local dealers too, maybe one of them would be willing to do a similar deal.

I think that was a lot of it...

I first talked to an off-road shop that specialized in Jeeps and told him what I was looking to do (He also did work on my previous Jeep TJ). Asked if he worked with or recommended any dealerships near by. He gave me a name. I simply emailed said guy and told him he was recommended by so and so. Gave me that price and that was it. I was simply amazed and shocked all in one!

re: 2016 Wrangler JK Information Thread

1st time here and I would like to thank you for all the info I have learned over the past 2 months trolling. I am trying to get my first JK and was about to buy a new silver Altitude a month ago and just could not get straight with the dealer so I backed off. Now I cant find one within 500 miles so I am looking at ordering a Granite unlimited Black Bear with color match top. Question 1: Is it possible to order willys tires on a black bear and pay a small difference? I want the 255/75/17s over the 245/75/17s and I also like the tread look on the willys. I now I can try and swap out with dealer or another tire store but I thought this would be cheaper and the speedometer could be set. Question 2: Is it better to order painted fenders from internet or have black fenders painted. Thanks in advance

Answer 1: There are no optional tires. Your best bet, is to sell the ones that come with your Black Bear, and buy someone's Willys take-offs.

Answer 2: The standard black fenders are textured, and because of that, not easily painted. If you want painted fenders, its best to get the factory painted ones. Again, look for take-offs.

What he said, and as far as the speedo mine didn't need any calibration with 285(33s) but 35's did.

Definitely go the take off route for wheels, good chance you can probably even score some HRR takeoffs. Sold mine for $1200.

You may be able to get a tire shop to swap you on the different tires, for not to much $$ for the the difference...

If you want painted fenders I'd get em as the factory addition...As Walta said they're textured, and will retain that look when painted...
