I'm going with a black finish since I can't get rhino, and I'm probably in the minority but I don't mind the top fading with the bumpers to give a little contrast. All my heeps did and guess I'm used to it lol. But if they cheaped out on the standard top, then I might have to upgrade.

Yep, SoCal is correct; it's a Premium Top. You can also look at the build sheet here:

http://www.jeep.com/webselfservice/B...BJWCG6GL101215

I don't have a Premium Top, so I can't give you any hands-on information or experience. From research, the Premium twill is a thicker material, and does cut down on noise. It takes a bit more "stretch" to break it in, and it does use more space when folded down. In fact, most soft top storage boots will not fit over the Premium Top because it's too thick. JeepTopUSA makes a boot that will fit the Premium Top.

Downside:
1. storage boot issue
2. $500
3. can't order half doors with it

BTW, I am getting confused. Are we using "clear" to mean non-tinted windows? Or are we using "clear" as an abbreviation for clearcoat paint?

From what I see in the order guide, the deep tint sunscreen windows cost extra on the Sport, Sport S, and Rubicon. They are standard on Willys, Willys W, and Rubicon Hard Rock. Can't figure out the situation for Sahara. It looks like it's included in the Freedom Package. Also, if you order "16X7.0 STYLED STEEL WHEELS", that includes the tinted windows.

These guys are talking about clearcoat:

Has anyone had luck placing an order for rhino color? Salesman says he can't do the order. Is this color out on any other Jeep/Chrysler models so we can see it? It's by far my favorite color and I really don't want to settle.

I don't mind waiting the only thing, he's giving me a really great trade deal, and I feel like I don't want to pass up. It crushes every other deal around that I was getting.

Other ? is concerning the soft top. He says the stock soft top on a Willys will come with tinted windows. I've seen them both ways in pics. Clear and tinted. I want tinted.

But if I upgrade to premium top, will that come with tint as well? I cannot find a definitive answer. I can't even fine the top to see if it's worth $500 upgrade. TIA.

re: 2016 Wrangler JK Information Thread

I think Croq is right. It shows on the sticker of that rubi, two options, one for the premi top and one for tint. wow. Glad to hear tint is not extra charge on Willys.

can't find a single soft top at two dealers today. Was wondering if the standard top is made as well as my '06 TJ rubi sunrider, which held up well. As far as I know it was canvas material, are the standard tops on JKs ones the same material? I read some say it's plastic/vinyl and the new one is cloth/twill.

Here at my work, parked right next to my jeep is a Saab convertible, looks like a cloth top, and there's some lint and fuzz stuck on it. It doesn't look so hot like that.

Jeep, Jeep, Jeep...forever keeping everyone confused!

JK or JKU?

The JKU Sport S comes with Deep Tint Sunscreen Windows (GCD) as Standard Equipment, so that would translate over to the Hard Top and Premium Soft Top included in the Dual Top Group.

The JK Sport S does not get the Deep Tint Sunscreen Windows standard (although it is erroneously listed as such in the Build & Price section of Jeep.com). You would have to get the $495 Deep Tint Sunscreen Windows (GCD) option.

Also, there is a difference between Jeep listing "deep tint sunscreen" vs simply "tinted" glass. All the glass on the vehicle is "tinted" with UV protection, but "deep tint" is the dark stuff.

I think that's right?

The Willys package is supposed to include tinted rear windows, regardless of what top you choose.

Regular:

(The JKU rear side windows do not have the diagonal split like the 2-door.)
Ughh, more confusion... On the sticker of that silver w/premium top it has the 23W package http://www.wranglerforum.com/attachm...p;d=1392652748 It lists "deep tint windows" as an option. For 2016 the 23W package is $6400.

There's also a Willys 23K option package for $4300.
This '16 sticker shows the "deep tint windows" on the 24W. http://www.chrysler.com/hostd/window...AJWAG6GL103125 $6400. Trying to find if available for 23K. .

There's also a Willys 23K option package for $4300. According to this site 2016 Jeep Wrangler Willys Wheeler Price With Options: Build and Price this vehicle and get MSRP, Invoice Price, and Free Dealer Price Quotes - The Car Connection Neither list "deep tint windows". But the price difference is huge and the only thing different I see is AC. So it's a $2100 difference for the AC? I don't see tinted windows in either.

Where can I go to find out the true differences in these packages? On my order I had the cheaper 23K and then added AC because it's cheaper for what appears to be the same thing. Very confusing and I want to make sure I get those dark windows. lol
Let's try and get this right for you.
Are you looking at a 2-door JK or 4-door JKU?
