Tank HRR JKU on the way! Best bull bar and search light lights for Hard Rock Rubi? Also led fogs available for this steel bumper to go with the Mopar LED headlamps? I heard Maximus 3 is popular bar, but not sure which to get. Best backup camera to accommodate 430n navi? Anyone retrofit with the pricier Alpine larger screen custom Wrangler navi system? Finally best Duratrak replacement for pavement and snow to replace stock tires down the line! Can existing rear tire rack support the Duratraks? Thanks for reading and recommendations!

The Maximus 3 bar is indeed a popular choice. One of Mopar's best kept secrets is they too make a bar, and that's the one I choose. Its P/N is 77072349 and can be easily found for only around $200. The 10A/X/HR bumper and it are designed for each other. Because of that, it installs in just minutes.

re: 2016 Wrangler JK Information Thread

Well, first post on here but think I can help... I have a 14 JKURX. I have used the Maximus 3 stinger bar , winch plate, filler plate, and JW speaker light brackets. All of their products are great, absolutely no issues. I would recommend them to anyone with a 10A bumper.

As far as the backup camera, I use the AEV system, I have used it with the 430n as well as the Alpine x009-WRA. No issues again, fit and finish are just like it came from the factory.

To your question on the tire carrier, I think with the added weight of the tires you should look at some kind of carrier. I chose the Teraflex.

If anyone has other questions let me know.

Congrats...My JKU-HR Hydro is scheduled to arrive 11/7-13...

I have the AEV tire carrier waiting for install, the factory carrier works, has for a long time and I've seen 285/70r 17+ tires (size i'm going with) hung on there...Just something about all that hanging on the tailgate i can't wrap my head around...Plus you can hang other chit on the AEV...the down side is it's cost...J.E.E.P.

Does the AEV carrier drop into the hole on the HR bumper or is it a more complicated install?

You secure a mounting point to the frame and the hole in the HR bumper allows the carrier to pass through (carrier is frame supported) and slid into it (grease able)

You apparently loose the tow hook on that side, i think with some ingenuity you can get it back on there...If i figure it out i'll send you the modification on how i did/do it...

The spare will also be offset (something about easier access to the handle) the mod to center it (if you're ocd like me) I've already figured out...

Edit: if you have a stock bumper you're supplied a template to cut a hole in plastic, for a real clean look...

That has always bothered me, the non-centered tire with that AEV carrier. I know it's a sign of mental problems but I am comforted that I am not the only one.
