If you get the Leather and Sound package, the gray Katzkin leather comes from the factory.

If you want Katzkin leather installed afterward, yes, your factory upholstery will be ripped out. I think most of us would suggest, if that's your plan, to stick with just the base cloth interior. You can get it installed thru your dealer (though I think they will pad the cost), or simply go to a local automotive upholstery shop directly.

Finally was able to order a BC with the black top....

Seems that if you try to get the Freedom Headliner and the Dual Top, the system forces you into a body colored top. Take away both of those options, and no problem, black hard top which, as others pointed out, is standard. But for some silly reason, if you want the Headliner or the Dual Top, it forces you to get the color top.

Perhaps this will help others.

Which spacers should I get if I go with 285 vs. stock 255 Duratracs? Is there a link available? Thanks again!

Everything Walt A said.

I went to their website and looked up the closest Katzkin dealer and found one within 10 miles of my location. Drove over to their business and told them what I wanted and they showed me the color samples and explained the process. The total cost was a little under $1400 shipped and installed. Placed the order on a Monday afternoon and they were installed 2 days later. Katzkin made my custom order the next day and overnighted them to the upholstery shop. Upholstery shop received them around 10am Wednesday and installation took about 3 hours. My local dealer pads the price about a grand. I've seen them priced at $2500 on some of their supplemental window stickers. Definitely order cloth seats if you know you're gonna do this and save your money for the upholstery shop. I'm attaching a pic of the leather color swatch samples to give you an idea about how many color options you will have. They also have different textures of leather. BTW, you DO have to order thru a Katzkin dealer, they will not sell direct to you. Hope that helps! ImageUploadedByJeepGarage1447094885.526726.jpg

Hey y'all! I think I see a purple leather swatch there...it sure would be a nice accent on Professor Plum's seats...if the color ever opens up to the HR, that is.

Purple body, purple top, purple fenders, and now purple leather interior.

Reminds me where I use to work. There was this woman who was really into purple. She had everything in her office in purple, right down to purple file folders. When one looked down the hall, you would actually see this eerie purple glow radiating out from her office doorway.

Didn't post it in this thread because it's not specifically a 2016 idea/issue, but I didn't want the same neoprene we have on our 2004 in the 2016 because of the heat/sweat problem. We went with Bartact by Trek Armor seat covers in our 2016. No sweat issues that I've encountered yet, and we had it on some warmer days in September with top off...

Spidertrax. Or just get some new wheels with 4.5" backspacing and sell your Rubi wheels and tires together. Tire shops CAN move your TPMS to the new wheels and tires....if they tell you otherwise, they're trying to scam you go to a different tire shop

Guilty! My office is full of purple. Even write with a purple pen.

But no...I don't want that much purple on my Jeep. Black top, black fenders, black leather interior with *maybe* some purple leather accents. I would powder coat GraBars and the D-Rings XP as accents as well. I think a 50/50 XP/Black is a good ratio. Just wish they'd release it already.

Yep.

Just pass that certificate number to your dealer, when you go to pay for your new Wrangler.

So I should be okay even though we already have our deal set (I.e. All the numbers). Is this as good as cash basically?

Meaning, I have only given a deposit. No final payment has been made yet.
