K - that's the answer I'm getting elsewhere too. Now the question is are the factory enhanced rails as good as the ACE rails I was going to swap over.....

This is what I found so very interesting on the Back Country....

I have always thought that any switches on the left side, were a Rubicon exclusive.

Is that the (optional) Locker switch?

Since most taller tires are also wider, you also need to change the backspacing. This can be done with a wheel spacer or new wheels with the proper backspacing. Stock wheel backspacing is ~6.25". Most lifts that say they will fit a 35" (315/70/R17) tire require a minimum backspacing of ~4.5". Without the proper backspacing, wider tires can hit the control arms and/or other components. It's not so much the tires hitting the flares as it is hitting more functional parts of the Jeep. Here is another thread about spacers...

Are Hub Centric Bolt On Wheel Spacers Safe? - Jeep Wrangler Forum

The stock wheel width is also a factor. They are 7.5" wide. Pay attention to the tire width requirements. Most tire shops will not put a wider tire on a rim that is not the approved width (although it is done all the time). You would need to find a tire shop that would be willing to do so.
Also, don't forget to account for the additional force applied to the axle by adding spacers or changing the backspace of the rim, each usually increases the length of the axle end to end. This is one of the reasons why adding tire increases the load on the axle, necessitating "more axle" (ie; dana 60 v. 44 v. 35) to absorb the stresses from longer axle length. In basic geometry terms, you increase the length of the lever when you add spacers or adjusting rim backspacing to move the tire out from the center.

I thought I would want the BackCountry edition. Then I saw yesterday's pictures. No! Guess I will wait on the 75th info. At least I received my golden ticket yesterday!

If that is Sarge...it is lighter than Tank. Tank was almost a green black in the build section on jeep.com. The green on the 2016 FE looks like it would be more of a forest type green. IDK...either way I'm sure looking forward to seeing it live!

I love the new decals and badging on the FE too. Looks more "official".

On the Backcountry, does the optional locker replace the limited slip or does it have both?

The locker and limited slip are both optional. You cannot have both at once.
