Agreed. I don't know who thought advertising a "color" that isn't available was a good idea. I would be at the dealer right now if I could get a "rock" color HRR.

Pretty sure its yet another mistake of theirs.

They did the same thing back on the '14 Rubi X's.

This makes me sad. I would love a HRR with dark saddle seats.

I'm not familiar with Katzin, but I do have the saddle "leather" seats and less than a year after it was built, they are cracking. I've had real leather seats since 2002 in the southern AZ summers and have never had the seats crack like this "leather".

I meant from the factory. No way I'd order a HRR and then rip out the black leather just to get dark saddle.

Exactly my opinion. Waste of $$$ for what, a hood and leather seats you only get in ONE color? Gimme a break.

You can get any color leather from katzkin, even the olive green. You just have to order the cloth seats and then have it changed. It really isn't difficult. Not everything has to be installed at the factory.

Thank You! The passion for special editions astounds me on this thread. What happened to building your own Jeep?

What happened was the Wrangler became popular. Now, it's a fad and everyone wants to keep up with the Jones's. I suspect many owners only purchased simply to look "cool" for having a 4dr, 3"+ lift, 35"+ tires, as many offroad lights as they can bolt to the body, armor, all so they can mall crawl and never touch the dirt, let alone grass.

Well, I am starting with a blank canvas if it ever arrives. Wrangler Sport with no options. I did add A/C because? Well, Texas!

You quoted me out of context.

I am planning on ordering a HRR. It would be nicer if I had two choices for leather like the Rubicon though.

The HRR is a good deal as it's only $1200 more in price from a comparably equipped Rubicon.

The problem is that with no matter what you do with it, it will never be worth any more than a Sport with no options, both in terms of re-sale and in the opinion of others.

The only value of the changes, is the fun you get out of the additions and mods.
