The colors are a bit dated. Maybe Jeep should have tossed the bronze idea in the trash with the pathetic dragon concept

I want bronze on my shield and spartan helmet, that's about it.

Lol, well that red car does have a name, Ferrari. You may be tired of hearing them referred to as the benchmark of performance... but the reasoning behind that, is that they are the benchmark of performance.
Nothing is more subjective than color choice... arguments based on which color is better is futile at best. I will say this though... I'll take those bronze toned wheels any day over black wheels. Talk about a dated look. Gloss black, flat black, matte black... man, that's enough. I still stand by my claim that red and bronze look killer together.
As far as the Dragon goes?... we can agree on that one, ouch!
Ok.... back to Jeeps now...

The 75th wrangler is the biggest disappointment of 2016 so far. That is the fugliest jeep I've seen since the dragon edition. Take that ugly green thing to europe.

The cherry on top would've been just make that ugly bit$h a 2 wheel drive! That thing looks like some of the jeeps we post to laugh at with 20's and chrome all over them!

Yeah, those 2018 JL Wranglers are sweet!
Just kidding, just kidding.

Seriously though... I feel pretty much the same. I think the 75th is a good looking rig but what's its lacking for me are all the off road oriented mechanicals. Have you considered a Hard Rock? That's the route I've decided to take. Just have to decide between Mojave and Sarge.

Glad I got my Tank 2016 Hard Rock JKU before all this anniversary insanity! The only special edition Wrangler I've ever yearned for other than admiring that pretty little Red Rock hopefully we'll see more of in 2016 is the one I drive. And that's all thanks to a very kind forum member who was gracious enough to point out one of the last remaining Tank Rubis he spotted at a nearby dealership. Best surprise investment we ever made! It may put us in the poor house obsessing over all the potential add ons, but such a relaxing experience it's been to just drive the actual speed bopping along waving to road raged passers by (joke and looking for any way to delay any destination. That's the drug we all share in these big toy trucks!

re: 2016 Wrangler JK Information Thread

I just don't get it FCA. 2016 marks 75 years of a unique much loved vehicle. I planned to buy my 10th Jeep and saved for over 2 1/2 years in anticipation of a Jeep that I hoped would offer the best of all the improvements and available accessories that Mopar has to offer. I anticipated that the price for such a vehicle might be a little high, but that is why I was willing to save and wait. The 75th Edition now being offered just doesn't do justice to such a landmark year of a vehicle that many of us love and enjoy. I am 62 so I figure I won't be in the Jeep buying market when the 100th Anniversary Edition comes around. Not really sure now what I will buy or when. The Red Rock Edition would have been an excellent tribute, but producing only 50 makes it obvious that I won't be able to own one. I realize that nothing any of us post here will change the plans of FCA for the Jeep in 2016, but....damn...really??, you can't come up with something better than a bronze trimmed Sahara with Hard Rock Hood and bumpers and street tires?

Speaking of the red rock edition, does anyone know how to get one? If they only produce 50 does that mean each state will get one allotment?

Not sure why everyone is so surprised and disappointed with the 75th anniversary edition. The 70th anniversary was nothing spectacular, and should have been a clear indication of what to expect this time around.

I agree, and will add the fact that 75th Anniversary Editions are running across the entire model line-up at Jeep. So, what they do with the Wrangler, needs to be able to be done on the Renegade too. That reality, really limits the content of any of such packages to things like paint, stripes, and wheels.

I have, but it's my daily driver and prefer the Sahara platform. My 2011 4runner is doing just fine, and no reason I can't wait to see how things play out.
