From what I have seen so far, I think the local dealer will be about $500 more.

While I want a great price, I am nervous about picking up a car 4 hours away in case I have problems.

How much would you have to save to go with a long distance dealer?

Definitely see what the local dealer will do to get your business then figure what it will cost you over the time you'll have the Jeep.. Even if it's still a $500 difference and you'll keep it maybe five years - that comes out to about 28 cents a day. How much inconvenience can you buy for 28 cents?

True... and don't forget to add in the extra costs involved such as fuel getting to the dealership and of course back home again. If it's four hours away you'll be adding what... 250 to 350 miles to your new Jeeps odometer right off the bat? Also, if you don't have a trade in you'll have to either buy plane tickets, rent a car, take a taxi or inconvenience someone to get you there to pick up the Jeep. Now if you plan on using them for service, that's a whole other story. And don't forget, your time has a dollar figure on it also.

Plus, while unlikely, factor in, what happens if you have to refuse delivery, and go home empty handed, needing to return back a few days later?

There is a thread somewhere, where a person actually accepted delivery on a Wrangler with some rather serious electrical problems, assuming they will eventually be fixed by a different, local, dealer. I wouldn't want to drive 250 to 350 miles in a brand new Wrangler that didn't have working lights, wipers, horn, radio, etc.

Any chance of Mohave Sand being offered on the Hard Rock?

I hope you can get a firm answer from Milous, but a user on another forum said they ordered a 4 door Rubicon Hard Rock in Mojave Sand on Saturday.
Hopefully the order is accepted and the dealer wasn't just being optimistic.

I drove 2 hours to save about $1000, but also got much, much, MUCH better service. No haggling, no games AT ALL where I bought.

Locally, they were the stereotypical dealer. After wasting 2 hours of my time, I was still no closer to a price on the Willys I really wanted - they just wanted to shoehorn me into a Blackbear, Sahara, Sport, or ANYTHING they had on their lot. They won't get my service business, either, as a result.

I inquired about this exact thing at a dealership about a month ago, and was given the green light.

Dealer is telling me I can't order connectivity without also ordering satellite.

This is JKU Sport S

Is this true? Only a couple of hundred bucks difference but I really don't need it.

Thanks.

Milous-
Are the 2016 order banks truly scheduled to close on April 15? With Hypergreen set to start production May 2, that would leave just a few days of ordering for a 2016 in Hypergreen.

Yes, short order window. Dates *could* change, 4/15 is what's listed now.

Yes. Although for most/all areas Rubicon scheduling is now full until next allocation date (3/11).
