Is Hypergreen confirmed to be an actual new color, or a rename of Sublime or something similar? Sorry if I missed it in an earlier post. I don't think it's Citrus from the Dart, like I did at first.

I just got approved from my bank for 25k I really want a willy's 2d but when I build them on the jeep there around 27k do you think the dealer would can actually work with me since I have a check in hand. Or just wait a few months and re apply and hopefully get approved for 30k and get a 2016.

Hi david... head to a dealership today. Its the end of August and the 2016s will be arriving, you're looking at a great time to deal on a 2015 wrangler.... but get over there before the 1st. Good luck.

IMHO, that might actually make it a bit worse. With a check in hand, you are taking away from them any possibility of the kick-back they get when they do the financing in house.

The best I could negotiate online is 2% or basically $43965 from a $44836 fwp pricing invoice out the door with all the fees/tax about $48027.91 in NEW JERSEY. This is with Chrysler affiliate pricing.

Talking about 4%-5% below invoice looks like from group buys in Texas and other states. Anybody from nj able to negotiate greater than 2% below invoice or am I just having a hard time?

You're looking at "Retail" pricing. You need to look at the invoice price. You should be able to buy it 1% below invoice easily. Just tell them this is what I want, and this is what I'll pay. Tell them "you'll have the sale today if you accept my offer". Don't mention you already have the money lined up. I wouldn't even bother going to the dealership, you can just call different dealers until one bites.

Don't forget to add in sales tax and whatever your state charges for fees if you absolutely must stay within a certain number.

re: 2016 Wrangler JK Information Thread

I got 3.7% under FWP on my order today not counting the $500 "golden ticket." That puts it at 4.8%... There are certainly dealers you can work with.

My method- I'd e-mailed a dealer up in Boulder, CO about an AEV Jeep a while back, but decided against it. Their rep contacted me the other day and I said "what'd be my price on a 2016 with these options..." When he got back to me, even though it was more than 1% under FWP, I said I can give him an Affiliates number if that could somehow sweeten the deal. Then I got a better offer that dipped into his holdback.

I took that offer to the AutoNation Jeep dealer close to me and they said they'd match it. I didn't have time that day, so I told them I'd be back. I went back a week later (today) with my affiliates number, the e-mail from the competition in Boulder, the order guide info with everything I wanted marked and my $500 off coupon. They had issues figuring out how to order a 2016, and so their prices didn't match the order guide but they came up with a number close to what I thought I was going to sign on to and they decided for some reason to say "I'll even give you $500 off that." Then I said "plus this $500 off coupon."... So long story short, I'm going to pay about $42,700 before taxes and license fees ($46,xxx after) for this Jeep:
JKJS74 - Unlimited Rubicon
24J - Hard Rock
DGJ - Auto Trans
XBM - Remote Start
DM8 - 4.10 Axle
AEM - Dual Top Group
RHB - 430N
HAB - A/C w/ auto temp
CJ1 - Supplemental front seat side airbags
Destination - $995 included in the pricing.

It seemed like a pretty killer deal considering the ones on the lot they typically can sell for MSRP/sticker...

Now to go pay me some money to back the site and start tracking my order.

Advice I'd give- go in there and let them know you know what you're talking about without being nasty. A lot of things I knew as fact from seeing them here I referred to as "Internet rumors" until it got to the point where the Sales Manager didn't think he could order 2016s yet. Then I told him that I was pretty sure the allocation opened up on the 8th of July, and I was well aware and quite content that I wouldn't get the car 'til Oct or so... By the end the sales manager and some guy there from Chrysler corporate were saying I should work there...

IMO, you will lose money by buying a 15'
There are no rebates, the 15' is now a year old, and the price increase is minimal for the 16'
It's either pay a couple hundred more, vs. losing about 2k in resale by buying the 15'.

If you are buying clean deal, don't negotiate, simply take command and tell your dealer what you are going to pay.
Sometimes buyers forget that they hold ALL the cards..ALL the cards.
Invoice price is always a given, but you could probably split the hold back with them, which would make it somewhere around $700.00 under.

I've been "shopping" for a Wrangler since April and have yet to see any sort of rebate offered. What rebates are you referring to?

There aren't any available to everyone, at least on the Wranglers. Jeep offers rebates and promotional financing deals on most everything *except* the Wrangler, or so it seems.

The point he was making is that you'd be better off purchasing a 2016 at this point because a 2015 would basically already have a year depreciation on it (and you would be lucky to find any special pricing on 2015 Wranglers). Now, if you can find a dealer willing to negotiate down further because it's end of the year, then great, just many that I have seen haven't had much luck with that.

One thing to note though if you decide on a 2016 vs. a 2015. The warranty changed from 5 yr/100,000 miles on the 2015 down to 5 yr/60,000 miles on the 2016. So if you drive a lot of miles, it might make sense to still try for a 2015.

Yup and if you're set on a certain color such as Sunset Orange, Copper Brown or Baja Yellow a 2015 is the way to go. Also, keep in mind Tank has a short life in the 2016 MY.
