The point he was making is that you'd be better off purchasing a 2016 at this point because a 2015 would basically already have a year depreciation on it (and you would be lucky to find any special pricing on 2015 Wranglers). Now, if you can find a dealer willing to negotiate down further because it's end of the year, then great, just many that I have seen haven't had much luck with that.

One thing to note though if you decide on a 2016 vs. a 2015. The warranty changed from 5 yr/100,000 miles on the 2015 down to 5 yr/60,000 miles on the 2016. So if you drive a lot of miles, it might make sense to still try for a 2015.
Yes, that is exactly what I meant.

It seems that GM is doing the same warranty backstroke.
My wife's 15' Yukon came with a 100k warranty. The 16' MY is now 60k.
We trade well before the warranty expires, but as Croq stated, those who drive a lot of miles may value the extra warranty during the 60k-100k mileage more than the saved depreciation.

Seems automakers are going the way of the airlines- decent service to keep people coming, but you need to pay more to get what you really want. Luckly for us, we don't drive a lot and a reduction in mileage in the warranty on a 2016 won't be a big deal. I feel pretty bad for a person that drives their car enough they'll hit the mileage that much earlier.

Milous or Pat,
I just received this in am email from a local dealer.
I don't understand a lot of what he is saying, however the part that concerns me most is he can't give me a price until the vehicle is built? Your help is much appreciated.
Thanks for your input.

If you are using a Supplier number for Affiliate pricing, the price is set by the manufacturer.. We as a dealer have no control over that. Furthermore, if a dealer tries to use a control number and deviates from the set price, they would lose their ability to issue or redeem supplier incentives indefinitely. The same action would be taken against the consumer. On that type of sale what I'm willing to do is trumped by what Chrysler says I have to do.

That being said, since the price is set by FCA and printed on the invoice, even after I build your new Jeep exactly to spec I wouldn't be able to quote you the supplier price until the vehicle was built and invoiced by the factory.

OK so I called a local dealer that has been asking me to order through him when I am ready to order. My loaded hard rock came to $45185.00 and ask for a cash price with no trade and he instantly responded $42346.00 I am figuring about a 6.3% discount.

730N question. I am almost ready to order-waiting for hyper green I think. I wanted 730N hands free voice command with navigation and their telling me it is discontinued on 2016. Another person said if I order the continivity and the 430N I will get hands free with voice command. Is he correct???????

430N has Voice commands for phone and radio. Not navigation. I.e. You cannot use your voice to set a destination.

So I cannot use voice command for navigation. Is there any other differences that I will not get?

Both dealers had no idea when hyper green or if will be available. It seemed I knew much more than he did with the help from jeep garage members. They had a very hard time answering any questions.

Bullshit they can print out an invoice see the FWP (invoice price) and subtract 1% and tell you. They don't use the control number until after you take delivery but absolute nonsense what they are saying. Just trying to scare you into buying from them, go to another jeep dealer imo, I hate people that try those tactics.

Agreed. My dealer even showed me final OTD price including tax, tag, etc.

I agree. Yesterday I sent out feelers to 15 local dealers asking for a quote/bid on ordering a 2016. I got 2 back within a couple hours but a 3rd told me he couldn't do a build sheet because "the color you want isn't available yet," and "prices are constantly changing". Well thanks for making my potential dealers 1 less to deal with!

re: 2016 Wrangler JK Information Thread

I haven't been able to get a price - some dealers told me that it would be going up significantly in Canada due to the current state of the dollar but more likely than not they were trying to push a 2015 on me (none exist in the area with the options I want).

Other dealers told me the granite isn't available (they clearly know nothing about their product) and more tried the whole "you have to come sit with us..." - plenty that I could weed out. I finally found a place a couple hours away that were good to talk to.

I placed an order a week ago and have my VON - I don't expect to see it until at least October and I'm trying to set my expectations at November.
