re: 2016 Wrangler JK Information Thread

Well...since there are no updates right now and since I noticed that the Wrangler X edition was not listed as one of the choices returning in 2016, I have taken to fantasizing about how I would like the 75th Anniversary Edition to be equipped. Basic Rubicon with power dome hood, Willys style cloth interior, Moab stlye front and rear bumpers, option to have body color fenders without requirement of body color hardtop, and since it is fantasy...equipped with 2" mopar lift and 35" B. F. Goodrich All Terrain KO2 tires. As I have mentioned before, this will be my 10th and last(?) Jeep and although I have always modified them, it would be great if one came from the factory with many of the mods already done.

I know this really doesn't provide any useful info, and since I have been saving and waiting for over 2 years in anticipation of the 75th Anniversary year of Jeep, I can well understand the impatience of all who are wanting and waiting for more factual info, but nothing any of us can do to speed up the release of that info. So I will remain subscribed to this thread, anxiously awaiting the next release of useful info from Pat or Milous.

That doesn't capture updates like Granite Crystal opening on the 13th of August. These things are getting buried by things that are as related to buying a chrysler 200 as they are to a 2016 Wrangler. It stinks reading through so much to find the content that matters.

Actually, according to Milous, we don't know the date that we'll actually be able to order Granite Crystal Metallic. He said it should show up in one of the next two allocation dates, August 13 or September 10. I agree that there has been a lot of cross-chatter that should likely have been put in other threads, but complaining about it is only adding to the clutter.

I don't understand a lot of what he is saying, however the part that concerns me most is he can't give me a price until the vehicle is built? Your help is much appreciated.
Thanks for your input.

If you are using a Supplier number for Affiliate pricing, the price is set by the manufacturer.. We as a dealer have no control over that. Furthermore, if a dealer tries to use a control number and deviates from the set price, they would lose their ability to issue or redeem supplier incentives indefinitely. The same action would be taken against the consumer. On that type of sale what I'm willing to do is trumped by what Chrysler says I have to do.

That being said, since the price is set by FCA and printed on the invoice, even after I build your new Jeep exactly to spec I wouldn't be able to quote you the supplier price until the vehicle was built and invoiced by the factory.
I had a simillar reply to one of my "feelers:"

EP is already a set price. If you are looking for less then that, then I can't help you. Your sponsor/employer should have told you that. The only exception is on demonstration vehicles but since you are looking to order one this won't be the case. I even double check the rules to make sure this was the case. We don't want to jeopardize someone's ability of generating future EP numbers for going against the rules.

"Effective February 1, 2011, this program now prohibits an individual with a control number from soliciting a price discount below the published EP price on new vehicles."

re: 2016 Wrangler JK Information Thread

Have a question about the BBE. I know it says based of Sport model but does anyone know if A/C comes standard on the BBE? I know the Sport it's an option, but the Sport S it's standard. Looking for my first Jeep after wanting one for 10 years and figured better jump in now. Thanks for any help.

Thanks for the info. I'm assuming low gloss is closer to satin finish rather than the matte we are seeing now. Now if I could just get a good idea of what that Rhino color was gonna look like. Torn between Rhino, Tank and Crystal Granite

Throw in traclok and 3.73s, perfect for me... looking forward to seeing these hit the lots with the low gloss black accents... should be pretty cool. I also like the Goodyear Silent Armor tires they'll be coming with. I know a farmer who swears by them... very puncture resistant I'm told.

Upgrading to the 3.73 and putting the alpine 9 speaker system in it. Only upgrades I want. Girlfriend bought herself a pair of cowboy boots for her birthday. I'm getting a Jeep for mine!

re: 2016 Wrangler JK Information Thread

2016 production launch: September 8, 2015
2016 sales launch: September 1, 2015

Exactly what does the production & sales launch mean. Does the production launch mean, that's the day the actually start making 2016 Jeeps? I placed an order for an Unlimited Sport. 3 weeks ago. What would be a reasonable delivery date?

Thanks,

Tom
