I'd love to see Chili Pepper Red, True Blue or Rugged Brown make a comeback. And package wise... give me a 2016 Golden Eagle with a huge eagle on the hood retro style, just like the late 70s CJs.

If we are voting for colors to bring back my vote is for Dark Cherry Red or Rescue Green. Of course, I'd be all over an OD green.

Ordered a 2dr at the end of May...still haven't got updates if it'll be a '15 or '16 model. At least the hydro blue is still available on the '16s (from current info. anyway)

Some dealers, who couldn't sell their Dragons, converted them into Golden Eagle editions. If you search around, you might still find one of them as a '14 left over.

Thanks Walt... couldn't do it though. I would always know it was a dragon. I need it to come from Toledo as a Golden Eagle so keeping my fingers crossed here. My cousin had a brown 79 CJ5 with that big eagle on the hood back in the day... man we covered alot of ground with that baby. Guess for me its a bit of a nostalgic thing.

Last time I saw a Dragon sitting on a lot I looked at it and thought what would it take to make it something I would drive. The decals could all be pealed carefully, some of the other stuff could be plasti dipped, wheels and tires I would be swapping out on any jeep, but the one high cost to fix I couldn't come up with a simple solution for would have been those seats with the dragon scales(I am not a fan of seat covers). I know China is an important emerging market but come on dragon scales?

I am thinking more and more my 2014 JKU will be my long term Jeep. A retro 2016 Golden Eagle sounds cool and something with a non-black color matching hardtop, rollbars, and intertior would be unique its not something I really couldn't do aftermarket(though $$$$) however functionality wise the only thing I really would like to see the most is an updated center stack with a modern Nav unit and I don't see that happening until the redesign. I was hoping there might be a few more tweaks to the current platform but they can't seem to make them fast enough right now so I see no need for them to do anything like that. Anyone getting a 2016 will be getting a heck of vehicle though, I think the JK line has matured quite well. The 3.6 has a few years on it now and there is plenty of aftermarket support for all aspects of the JK plus with as many as they have sold that market will continue to grow and flourish. These last few years right before the redesign might be some of the best keepers.

Heck, put the B5 Blue from the Dodge car lineup on the Wrangler and call it a Levi's Edition again. Hahaha....

I would agree.

A Levi's Edition would be nice to see again. Though, I would want the interior to be upholstered in real denim, not that cheap vinyl imitation stuff AMC used.

I guess the soft top would need to replace all those zippers with buttons too.

A 501 cuin V8 under the hood would be nice power plant.

Lol... one thing about those Levis seats those brass buttons got HOT sitting in the sun. But at least you could wipe them off after a rain storm easy enough compared to the new sests.

Recon Green? Sounds like a shiny Olive Drab.

The most current info is that Recon will be a revival of shale green metallic with a different name. Seems odd shale green doesn't make me think Recon but who knows.

I agree, Shale Green from the photo is not what comes to mind when I hear Recon Green. A lighter version of Tank Green is what I think of when I hear Recon Green.
