re: 2016 Wrangler JK Information Thread

My daughter has her heart set on jk Hard Rock in Granite Chrystal metallic. I see 10/26 is the date. How accurate is that date? Or do we run the risk of them delaying it more, or canning the color altogether? I don't want this thing in the dead of winter. She wants to enjoy it here in VA before winter and her trip back to CA before the winter sets in. I guess she can pick another color, but you know how that goes. Thanks-Rockydee.

Search around for images "2011 70th anniversary wrangler".

I bet it would be sharp with Mojave Sand outside. Just sayin'.

Just to raise some interest in the 75th Anniversary hoopla, check out the PDF that I found from the 70th in 2011:

http://www.jeep.com/en/pdf/Jeep_70th...y_Brochure.pdf

That's where all the olive/black seat shots came from, too. That multicolor stripe says "70th" in the center.

The web site they had set up is at: http://www.jeep.com/en/70th/

In fact, there's a YouTube video of a 2011 with the same seats shown up close and personal. Handheld camera, so you might feel seasick. But at about 2 minutes in...

Keep dreamin', Lads and Lassies. It'll be here soon enough (I hope).

Is hypergreen metallic and is that an appearance thing or is there other advantages or disadvantages?

That's the best info, as of today.

But it is true, Jeep can change plans between now and October. We have no way to predict. I mean, if we knew something different today, then this updated info would become the best info.

Nothing about any color, is definite, until the ordering window for it, is open.

For example, at one point, Tank was not to be for 2016, but then, Tank came back for a limited time on 2016's.

Gotcha. So she could wait, they drop the color and she loses 3 months+ time. I better tell her to start looking at other colors.-Rockydee.

My salesman is telling me Jeep will have a fleet wide price increase on September 1st. Do any of you insiders know if that is true?

Am I reading the current 2016 Order Guide correctly where it says the black cloth seats with dark saddle lower dash and trim (A7XV) will be a No Charge option for the Sport level models under the "Step #4 Select - Color & Trim Codes" section? If I'm not mistaken, this option was only available on the Sahara and higher models for 2015.

Interesting... Took a look at the guide and found it. Not sure how to interpret it... I'd be surprised if it was available on a Sport though as its one more reason to move someone to a more expensive package.

Yeah I assumed it was a slight over site or something.

re: 2016 Wrangler JK Information Thread

So I just saw this on my Facebook from Fiat Chrysler of America: Corporate's page. I'd love it if they offered Plum Crazy on the 2016 Wranglers, too!

It’s been missing since the 2014 model year, but soon you’ll be able to order a Plum Crazy 2016 Dodge Charger or (and) Challenger. While we’re still keeping tight on most of our 2016 plans, if you’re attending the Woodward Dream Cruise this weekend, you’ll be able to see first hand a Plum Crazy Challenger and Charger.
Available for ordering in September with production starting for sold orders in November, Plum Crazy will be available on the following:
2016 Dodge Challenger: : SXT Plus, R/T, R/T Plus, R/T Classic, R/T Shaker and R/T Shaker Plus, R/T Scat Pack, 392 HEMI Scat Pack Shaker, SRT 392 and SRT Hellcat
2016 Dodge Charger: SXT, R/T, R/T Road & Track, R/T Scat Pack, SRT 392, SRT Hellcat
First debuted in 1970, dealer orders open up in October and, no matter who you are, you can only order your 2016 Plum Crazy through the end of the 2015 calendar year.

Forget Plum Crazy (and we've been teased too many times), I want that Hemi that's shown to be offered on the Wranglers instead.
