Last 3 numbers? That would only give them 999 vehicles. They pump out 800 a day and over 150,000 a year.

Am i missing somthing here?

Vin numbers may start out sequentially, but they are not built sequentially. Parts availability, and a myriad of other unforseen reasons determine build order.

This has probably been talked about, but don't see any info on the diesel engine for '16. Says no changes on drive train '16 on Milous' page. Keep hearing diesel for '16!

So the last five numbers of my vin are 02156. So is it safe to say that's my Jeep was the 2156 Jeep assigned A vin? But not necessarily the 2156 Wrangler built?

Hey, I have a couple pricing help questions for you guys. This is my first Wrangler and first negotiation for a vehicle and I am nervous I am getting screwed because I see many of you saying you got yours locked in for x% about under MSRP and just had a couple questions about that. When some of you say, "I got 45K wrangler for x% under MSRP at 37K," is that out the door? or before taxes and dealer fees? I ask because I was quoted for a 2016 Black Bear with just alpine, black hard top, 430N and auto tran for $34,500k before taxes and dealer costs and about $37,000 after. Is that a good price? Am I getting ripped? The MSRP for my build is about 39-40k. Sorry I don't have exact numbers. Am at work and don't have the build sheet! My incentives are 1% under invoice and $500 off for graduation. Maybe another $750 if I go to this work related dealer. Thanks guys!!!

Ok so I told you all I am a nerd and ordered rhino touch up like one of my fellow nerds. I finally got it and wanted to give you all a quick comparison. I also got anvil touch up for a reference. This is a very quick snap of a small brushed patch. I have some clear coat in the garage. I just need to find some metal to paint and I will do a better side by side sample properly dried and clear coated but that will take a little while.

Rhino is considerably darker than anvil I would say even darker than granite crystal. I do see the blue tint to it but believe it might get mistaken for black by non-jeep enthusiasts.

I know this first image isn't great I will do better!

I live in Oregon so I don't pay any sales tax. The price I saw was the lowest with incentives and rebates which I qualify for all if not more with a golden ticket as well as tread lightly membership. The price you were quoted seems pretty good. But then you have to add tax which sucks. I think the dealer fees if I buy one will be $199 if I remember correctly.

I will probably end up ordering a 2016 when granite or rhino is released, if not just wait till next year and order an "end of the JK" model 2017. Haha. Decisions decisions hmmm......

Usually the last 6 digits is the number it was produced. I remember looking when I bought my 2013 I was looking for a higher number one with the rear pinch corners redone and welded better than the first few batches.

Also, when talking to dealers or salespeople, they usually only ask for the last 6 or 8 digits of the VIN.
