re: 2016 Wrangler JK Waiting Room
What is a good price for a hard rock? I am debating a Rubicon (regular) and swapping out the bumpers. This may come out the same as just buying a Hardrock. "BUT," as I start pricing these things and breaking it down, I begin to form a question mark above my head! The thing I do not understand is the fact that the tech in these Jeeps are a little dated, so why do they cost so much- $50,000 for a Jeep is insane. Single axle makes since for a 4X4, but requires no retooling, no new engineering, no going back to the drawing board and no hiring a bunch of engineers too do a major overhaul. Not to mention the fact that the body has not changed in decades. Although it may be true that they will sell them for what they can get for them, but the US auto makers have not been exactly spot on price per car. $10,000 more would buy a BMW fully loaded and superior in technology. A good argument would be that a BMW could not role through the mud, but come on, the Jeep is basically a toy. Don't take this as a rant, but more of a concern, LOL.!
