HTs are much more user friendly in the winter up here. Was always afraid of cracking my back window on the TJ soft top when I needed to get in the back in Feb.......

Can anyone tell me why a vehicle would go from Toledo, to northern Illinois, to southwest Indiana, and the back up by Chicago.......on its way to south Texas, over the last several days?

Chicago is a major rail hub for the US. My guess is that it is moving from Toledo to Chicago with a stop or two in between. Once in Chicago, I'm sure it will be sent southward.

Right, I'd imagine what's happening is your railcar is mixed in there with several others, and rather than just peeling off a couple for their destination, they take the whole lot up there, peel off what is heading somewhere else, then the remaining cars head back to Chicago. Lather, rinse, and repeat as necessary.

Not unlike what happened to us when we went out to LA on Amtrak. We caught a train that headed from Chicago down to San Antonio. The 3-4 cars we were on got unhitched from that train and got left in the trainyard. We all went to sleep, and about 3:00 am, another train came along and hooked us on. But in the process, they had to shuffle around some of the cars to get the specific cars in the spot they wanted, they needed to unhitch and rehitch them back together.

Yeah, I'm sure there are reasons they do this, they are the experts. Just drives me crazy...heading south, heading north? Heading south...north again, lol. Thanks guys.

re: 2016 Wrangler JK Waiting Room

Less then a week till the scheduled start of production for GCM and I realized I never posted anything but color, so to draw my attention from this agonizing wait, here's my build list:

'16 JKU Sport
Granite Crystal Metallic
6sp Manual
3.73 Axle Ratio
Hard top
Alpine 9 speaker

I'm definitely getting anxious with no update from D1 on any of the GCMs, but that should change here in the next week or so.

Ok, I know this has to have been brought up before, but I can't get any reliable information on it....... Does a Wrangler with AUTO transmission come standard with a transmission cooler? If not, what determines it being included or not?

I don't know the answer to your first question but if it's not part of the auto tranny package I'd expect it to be part of a towing package.
