Yeah, you would think so. I test drove a 2015 Rubicon with Auto and Max Tow and it did not have a transmission cooler, some do even without max tow....I don't get it. Antoine know the build sheet code for a transmission cooler?

The only thing I see is a part you can order from Mopar.

Transmission Oil Cooler and Lines - COOLER KIT, Auxiliary Trans Oil - 68143895AA | Mopar

According to this thread (and others), all 2012+ automatic transmissions come with the cooler, regardless of tow package or axle ratio:

Max Towing Package AHQ include This Tranny Cooler? - Jeep Wrangler Forum

I just called the jeep folks out of curiosity. They say my jeep is built and waiting for inspection. Went D1 this morning. That seems a little fast to me. Hope their information is correct. Delivery is scheduled between Nov. 2-8.

D1 status for my GCM JKU Sport, Auto, 3:73 gears with max tow, Alpine 9 speaker, premium soft top, Anti spin diff.

Mods that are currently collecting dust in the garage waiting for arrival;

TeraFlex - 3" susp with 4 control arms, monster track bar, steering stabilizer, adjustable tire carrier.
5 Mickey Thompson MTZ on Fuel Coupler -D556
Bilstein 5100 shocks
AEV Pro Cal
Quadratec LED Headlight & Fog lights (reviews good and already spent to much $$)
Rock Hard 4x4 Patriot series tube slider rocker guards
Locking gas cap
entry guards
quick release mirrors
**Front and rear bumpers in the works**

Jeeps are far worse than a Harley. Its like crack you just keep wanting to add to it.

Just a question, call me curious, but why are so many people getting max tow option when its sorely overpriced for what you get?

Isn't it cheaper just to get a tow hitch from uhaul and save $500

Is there an invisible piece of equipment not listed in the description that makes it worth the money? The auto tranny already includes a cooler if I'm not mistaken.

BTW, I put the Teraflex 3" with 8 flex arms on my 14 jku and it rides so much better than stock. Maybe it's the placebo affect. Good choice with TF

I had previously read that thread....but the Rubicon auto I test drove did not have the trans cooler, I thought it was strange it didn't include one and it did have max tow.

That same thread states a tow package is not required and that all autos have it standard, though some people find it difficult to locate it since the condenser and cooler are both black and similar in size...ish. Seems ridiculous to pay $500 for a hitch....

Doesn't it sit right in front of the radiator? I purposely looked for it, through the grill, and didn't see one. Again, I thought it was strange. Is there an order code for it? I know it has a Mopar part number, I just don't know of a build code that would identify it .
