I ordered on 5/30 - looks like the turnaround time is about 4 weeks now - is that right?

I ordered the weekend after you did (06/05) and my dealer said 4-5 weeks. I had a VIN# the day after I placed my order.

re: 2016 Wrangler JK Waiting Room

My dealer told me 4-6 weeks and looking at some of the recent past dates (of when ordered to when delivered) on the tracking site that time frame looks fairly typical. It seems a bit dependent on where it is being delivered

re: 2016 Wrangler JK Waiting Room

Hi All, I'm about to place a factory order for a 2016 Unlimited Rubicon in Rhino and after looking through the order guide that Milous provided compared to the configurator on Jeep.com, I was wondering if anyone could lend your expertise to answer a couple basic questions that I have to make sure I do this right.

Here's what I'm looking to confirm...

1. I want the Black 3 piece Hardtop and Premium Black Soft Top on the Rubicon.

A. Can I order these separately using the part codes from the order guide or do I have to order them together as the Dual Top Group? Total FWP (Factory Wholesale Price) for ordering both separately is $614 less than ordering them together under the Dual Top Group. Is this the same thing product wise so no need to pay more for the Dual Top group? I just want to make sure I don't miss out on the window tinting or anything like that.

B. Also, out of curiosity, does anyone happen to know if the Premium Black Sunrider Soft Top is the same thing as the aftermarket Bestop Supertop NX Twill soft top that retails for $1,499.00? They "look" to be the same exact product, but I'm not sure.

2. I want the Rubicon Cloth Seats and the Alpine 9 speaker system w/ all weather subwoofer on my Jeep.

A. On the Jeep.com configurator the only way to add the Alpine system to the Rubicon is by selecting the Mopar Premium Sound and Leather option. My concern is that the Mopar Premium Sound and Leather option means they will also install leather seats, which I don't want, and I will pay FWP $939.00 more as well even if they don't install the leather seats.

B. As such, can I/should I just order them separately to get the Rubicon Cloth Seats and Alpine speaker system? I'm not losing any other features by doing this am I and I'll be saving FWP $939.00, correct?

Thanks in advance for your help! I've learned so much over the past few months reading through all the posts. All you forum members really are the subject matter experts on all things Jeep!

re: 2016 Wrangler JK Waiting Room

Most of my earlier questions regarding the Hard Top, Soft Top and Alpine speaker system have been answered. I gave Koons the codes from the order guide that Milous provided and they corrected it on an updated build sheet so I'm all set.

The only thing I'm still wondering is if the Premium Black Sunrider Soft Top is the exact same as the Bestop Supertop NX Twill that retails for $1,499. I'm just curious, so if anyone happens to know please confirm.

Koons has been great to deal with. Specifically, Erica Ramsey has been very helpful! Placed my factory order with her this afternoon and received my VON 15 mins later.

Now the wait begins...I'll be signing up for Level 4 membership tonight to support the forum and get access to Milous' on-line order tracker.

Order Details:

Group buy through Koons. Truly awesome price! No negotiating, completely hassle free.
2016 Rubicon Unlimited
Rhino
5 Speed Automatic
4.10 front/rear axle ratio
Cloth seats, heated (may do heated/ventilated Katzkin Leather seats at some point down the road)

Remote Start
Dual Top Group (Black 3 Piece Hard Top and Premium Black Sunrider Soft Top)
430N Radio
Alpine speaker system

re: 2016 Wrangler JK Waiting Room

Hi All,

I'm a brand new member who recently ordered a 2016 2-door JK Rubicon from Dave Smith Motors in Kellogg, Idaho.

It's a simple one with few options as it will be a 2nd vehicle, not a daily driver.

The options I chose were:

PSQ Rhino Clearcoar
A7X9 Black cloth seats
AAJ Connectivity Package
AHT Trailer Tow Package
RC9 Alpine 9-speaker

I'm excited to learn more about my new toy and participate in this community.

re: 2016 Wrangler JK Waiting Room

Hey PNWJK, Looks like both of our "Rhinocons" will be siblings rolling down the assembly line together.

Curious to get your thoughts on the color. Was thinking for over the past 5 months that I was going to get Granite Crystal, but then saw Rhino on a dealer lot one night right before I ordered and thought "that looks cool".

Went back during the next day to see if it showed off its blue more clearly under direct sunlight. It did (in a subtle sort of way) so made decision fairly easy. My 3 kids in Junior High and High School all agreed too..."Get Rhino!"

It's definitely one of those chameleon type colors that changes with different lighting. It can go from looking almost Black with no lighting, to a Matte Grayish Navy Blue or almost Charcoal Gray color with different lighting. Not a popular color right now on the streets, but noticed on MOTS that a small majority of the Wrangler orders recently are for Rhino too.

First mod will be rock sliders that double as side steps that either fit over the stock rubi-rails or cover up the pinch seam entirely with the rubi-rails removed. How about you?

Getting crossed eyed looking at all the web pics for rock sliders with step to consider...It'll be a tough decision
